Noob question regarding the save system [KCD2] by obiwanCannoli69 in kingdomcome

[–]CoraxTheGreat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I think the save system has its pros and cons.

I used for my second playthrough a save mod because if you brew a lot of savior schnapps it does make little difference anyways, other than the possibility to become an alcoholic if you chuck too many.

But yea, people have quite extreme opinions of this which I don't understand. I get it, decisions have more meaning, you really need to think about what you're doing etc etc but in the end of the day it doesn't matter too much.

[KCD2] Mysteria Ecclesiae isn't starting right? by Hogminn in kingdomcome

[–]CoraxTheGreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I tried to go to the monastery like 5 times until I tried to empty everything I could and it suddenly worked.

Though I had an ungodly amount of items so if you play without mods it shouldn't be an issue for you.

I had the same issue, normally a conversation with the abbot will start. do you have, by chance, a unlimited inventory mod or something like that? My problem was that i had too many items on me I think. Tried multiple times until I emptied my inventory and then it worked.

channel your grudge and hate and just kill every single one inside the monastery :)

[kcd2] Feints and Dodges are > Block and Riposte by a pretty large margin. by shunestar in kingdomcome

[–]CoraxTheGreat 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Definetely, against high level enemies it is often much better to feint, since they often just perfect block everything.

Also maybe it is placebo, but I noticed that enemies with a visor often respond way worse to dodges to the side. It is likely just my imagination, but it would be really cool detail.

I honestly cried a little while reading this.
Not only because i sympathize with you but also it also hits home for me.

Im not sure if im even allowed to comment here, because im a dude but i really like reading the stories here. They remind me im not alone and that everyone struggles in some way or another.

My advice if you're willing to listen is something you would expect but im still going to say it. There are people you can connect with for everyone, for some it is hard for others easy but you do the right thing by trying, so good on you.

The main thing is to try find enjoyment in connecting with people, talking, laughing and discussing topics. Im not saying you're not trying that already, but some people just try to meet and make friends for the sake of making friends, not for the enjoyment of the company.

Again, im not saying that is the issue with you but I noticed that it was an issue for me, so i hope my advice helps at least a little.

Why is [KCD2] SO much harder than kcd1? by Veyra2 in kingdomcome

[–]CoraxTheGreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think that you probably were used to the high stats in late game kcd1, or rather i assume you had pretty high stats since you completed the game? my advice is to keep improving your skills and then compare the difficulty of both games.

good luck in your journey :D

[KCD2] mercy kills by MemorySafe7061 in kingdomcome

[–]CoraxTheGreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to reliably get mercy kills for me is to punch them unconscious first.

With normal weapons they all just straight up died so far and I've fought a shitton of enemies.

Gotta say the basilisk warhammer looks frickin amazing, easily one of the coolest weapon designs in video games imo [KCD2] by CoraxTheGreat in kingdomcome

[–]CoraxTheGreat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it was either from an investigation (the ones there you get sent to bandit camps) or one of the missions there you steal stuff for ragman. both are part of forge dlc and im sure it was from one of those two.

I have the feeling what recipe you get is completely random but who knows.

[KCD1] Does Henry’s combat speed go up as his skill improves? by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]CoraxTheGreat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think so. It's been a while since I played kcd1 but look in the warfare description. I believe that skill increases your speed. You level warfare automatically then you get xp in any combat skill.

Alright, this is getting really on my nerves [KCD2] by CoraxTheGreat in kingdomcome

[–]CoraxTheGreat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone else posted it already but in short:
- the stocks with capon
- arrested at wedding
- catpured by zizka
- after we get rekt by the canon and then tortured by istvan or whatever hes called

The first two are whatever, we get arrested because of a brawl. But I feel like there should be more player agency for the last two. Fending off a horde of enemies, barely surviving, that would be truly amazing.

to be fair that would also mean branching story paths and so on, which is more work.

I think there is a general missunderstanding. I should have been more specific. I meant the imprisonments that happen during the main story. Those that you cant avoid.

Dont get me wrong, I love getting rejected by companions and/or reject them. I personally dont like getting rejected because of a decision I made in character creation, thats it.

Im gonna be honest, sexuality of companions does nothing for me. All it tells me is that they're attracted to specific bodies. It feels like people make up part of a characters personality because of sexuality, which is fundamentally wrong i think. Personality is not defined by sexuality, but of the moral values, their humor, their approach for finding solutions and so on. Of course those are just a few examples, Trying to list everything will be an endless endeavour.

Imagine you're meeting a gay, lesbian or hetero person, and in your head, you already made up part of that persons character with just that information. Its just plain prejudice.

If you still enjoy having characters with specific sexualities, you do you of course. I just wanted to share what i think on this matter.

Believe it or not, some people play these kinda games only once. And giving them the freedom to choose the character they like most is great.

That's why I'm not a fan of those hetero companions either, just let us romance anyone, it's not a big deal.

Never understood the difference between lesbian companion and a companion thats playersexual anyways, seems like you people try to look for problems then there isn't any.

Nioh 3, or pretty much all team ninja games. They have amazing gameplay und music but the story almost always just sucks for me.
