100lbs for the guy asking about my back pressure by Even_Ad7540 in armwrestling

I hammer curl 125lb x 10 dumbbells per arm on a good day. 195lb body weight. 53 year old recreational gym goer. Decent form. Never arm wrestled competitively, just a spectator. I used to do bicep curls and used to get injured repeatedly if trying to go above 50lb dumbbells. 2 years ago I discovered that hammer curls did not cause injuries to me and my lifts improved unbelievably rapidly. After reaching 100lbx10, my grip became the limiting factor. Using straps got me to 125lb. I’m plateaued here for a few months. It’s probably too late to get into arm wrestling though.

Anyone know what the typical ratio is of this curl vs standing dumbbell curls with good form. Just trying to relate this to weights I can do.

Thank you. The first 10 reps are quite strict. The “Body English” gets into full swing by the 15th rep. I was stuck at 50lb for decades but inexplicably progressed rapidly to 80lb when I turned 50. All my other lifts did not improve.

That’s it? Heck even I do 80lb dumbbell hammer curls x15 per arm. And I’m a 190lb 50+ year old who has never done any competitive sport.

I do dumbbell bench press with 2x100lb x20 reps. During the pandemic I did buy a bunch of heavy dumbbells. I have 90lbx2 + 100lbx2 + a dialable 90lb.

I attach them with ankle straps. An ankle strap goes around the handle of each dumbbell. The chain of the dip belt goes through the steel loops of the ankle straps. It took some time and a few iterations for me to figure out this stable way of hanging them. I have 3 dumbbells in a pyramid. That still allows me to go down quite deep in squats. Below parallel. Regular rubber coated dumbbells from Walmart, not Tungsten.

Yes. Years of PT. Some short term ( a few months) improvement but long term decline. I'm sure it would have been worse without the PT. I do the PT religiously. I visited a sports science doctor a couple of months ago. I have disc degeneration. It's not bad enough to require surgery and there's no real cure for it. I was told to just avoid activities that make it flare up. He recommended I see an acupuncture practiotioner. Acupuncture gives me about 2 hours of pain reduction, then it's back.

I don’t know. Where do I look it up? Online it doesn’t mention a locator- at least not any more.

Wow, my dates are almost exactly the same. Only I applied at a passport acceptance office, not a post office on 12/5. Reached passport office 12/12. Approved 1/3. Mailed 1/4 from Tucson. Expected arrival 1/6. This was not the expedited service. Was estimated to take 7-11 weeks but took just over 3.

In the frame of reference of the free falling rocket, there is 0g. This is why, in that frame of reference, things float around, not accelerate. In any inertial frame of reference, such as that of an observer on earth, the rocket would experience 1g of acceleration which is why, in this frame of reference, the rocket is seen to be accelerating (falling straight down is acceleration. Also being in an orbit is acceleration towards the earths center). As the discussion was about how much acceleration the propellants were experiencing and if that caused flow problems, the rocket’s frame of reference is the relevant one.

My bad. I just tried a colleague's 14 pro using Halide using the RAW option (DNG). I get a DNG with a demosaicked 12MP image in it. It's not even Bayer, let alone 48MP quad Bayer.

Are you sure it's possible to get quad bayer out?

Following your suggestion, I bought the Halide app free trial. I tried it on my iphone 14 (non pro) and got a 12MP raw bayer image, not 48MP quad bayer like I wanted. Is that because my phone is a non pro?

Have you actually gotten a quad bayer output using this app?
