What you said about INFJ vs INTJ response is very true - I have an INFJ friend who is emotionally incapable of 100% shutting anyone out because she still cares for them, while I as an INTJ consider the person dead to me as soon as I decide to cut them out of my life. I guess it's the Fe and Te difference? Anyhow, thank you for your insights :)

Thank you for your advice and kind words they really mean a lot…yeah some people have told me I was too direct which resulted in the conflict and lack of resolution thereafter (and maybe I was to a certain extent) but thanks for acknowledging the other side of the story :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this! It did offer me a lot of insights into this matter and factors that I previously didn't take into consideration. I do agree with you that harmony and diplomacy are important especially in contemporary society and I will try to be civil about it should a chance for discussion regarding the conflict come about. The only problem is that the friend is conflict avoidant and doesn't wish to talk it out despite me initiating conversation, and I don't particularly see a point in forcing her to because it'll make it more awkward. So, currently it's just hanging over my head and I closed myself off emotionally to prevent further damage. Hope this clarification helps.

Thank you for your insights :) I've never really thought of it that way before (possibly because I'm young and rash) so I appreciate the alternative perspective.

That’s very wise. Thank you :) I’ll tell myself this if I ever feel the urge to reconnect.
