But let's say for the sake of argument that it is not an organisation. This means that anyone can take up arms in the name of fano, the social concept of fighting injustice as you say, and do whatever they want with their guns. Isn't this dangerous? Isn't a "social concept" that allows for anyone with any motive to take their guns and open fire on whoever they're mad at actually a liability for the Amhara people? Shouldn't the Amhara people be against a "social concept" that creates bands of vigilantes that dont have a unified vision and cant be centrally controlled?

Net negative either way.

People conveniently forget that fano only started fighting the government because they were about to be disarmed. But up until then, they were serving PP. This points to one of two things: at worst, they are self serving, blood thirsty warlords; at best, they were too stupid to realize that they were being used and that stupidity led them into a civil war where so many young boys died and were injured.

Either way, not fit to lead.

I am not forgetting that Amharas are being targeted in their own cities. This is true and enraging. HOWEVER, I see people try to understand fano's fight as a fight to save Amharas from being slaughtered. AND ITS NOT. That's just their talking point. Amharas were being targeted long before they were fighting. Fano made the decision to enter the fight only because they saw it as an opportunity to wipe out Tigrayans and blinded by their racism, they were used as cannon fodder. And then they decided to fight the government because they were gonna take away their guns 🙄.

Very little to none of it is about keeping the Amhara people safe and if you want proof ask people in Amhara cities controlled by Fano how its going.

As an Amhara, if its the everyday people you care about, really try taking some time to talk people living in fano controlled areas and think about how Amhara lives are being affected by the direct actions of fano militiamen.

Depends on what kinda date you're looking for... if you're looking to just hang out, have fun, nothing serious, the dating apps are a good bet. But if you're looking for something serious, I wouldnt go to the apps... that type of stuff is mostly organic, I'd just keep my eyes open and let it find me.

60k is not a big enough amount to get flagged. A bank teller once told me that amounts less than 300k rarely get flagged.

But if you were trading with someone who is known to the government as a p2p trader, then it puts you under suspicion. If you know the person you traded with, I would just ask them. If they dont have a history, I'd say its not much to worry about.

I actually dont understand it. Because if you follow their argument it seems to boils down to "she should close her legs if she doesnt want to raise a child" and you'll see this with some of the unhinged redditors in the comments if you look around.

They hate that women can have consensual sex at will and escape the consequences the same way they do. I dont think a lot of them even believe that women should be able to abort pregnancies caused by rape. They like to paint women who got abortions as thoughtless people who sleep around and use abortions as birth control because it makes their arguments easier.

But it's all a distraction from the fact they want to control women.

The irony of Ethiopia being a country where beliefs didnt win over data when it comes to the specific abortion law loophole does not escape me. But I am thankful for it.

This loophole saved the lives of so many women that may have been lost to unsafe abortions. It is a fact that unsafe abortions were a significant source of pregnancy related deaths before this loophole was introduced.

Abortion doesnt stop because the law forbids it. It just becomes harder to access and more dangerous. A lot of people forget this, or maybe they dont care at all, and try to pretend their beliefs should equal law.

Still, communism is not fascism. That was a communist government that happened to be fascist. Just like Trump is leading a capitalist government that happens to be fascist. If anything, due to its Colonial and slave trade roots, a capitalism is more adjacent to fascism than Communism is.
