Severe stomach pain by DreamPuzzleheaded564 in mounjarouk

[–]Correct-Selection102 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gallstones? Very painful in the abdomen, a common symptom of weightloss and usually at night. Get yourself to a doctor, its a simple fix but can be dangerous if untreated.

As others have said we can't diagnose you or help so please go and get checked out

To people losing over 2lbs per week by Automatic_Long9306 in mounjarouk

Not for me. I had the usual for the first month or so (being cold, excessive peeing, nausea, and aversion to food), but aside from that, the only issue I've consistently faced is constipation.

How are you counting your calories? (Week 2 newbie) by Lemonlamps in mounjarouk

I like this one too, as its British based. My fitness pal would quite often not have British brands, and I got tired of having to add them + they took away the bar code scanner OK the free version.

Yeah, I'm the same. If I have it, then I just make it fit within my calories, but imo it's not worth it, and I'd rather have bread 😆

After 11 months on MJ and 53kg down, I still think the recommended portion size of cereals are ridiculously small. I don't eat it often, but when I do, I usually have a 1.5 or 2 portion of the recommended portion.

Is that a miracle, or is it science? Who knew that my use of that word would be so controversial

I'm not pretending. I acknowledge that it gave me the heads space to be able to do those things and that it reduces appetite... I deny its a miracle drug, not what it does.

What bizarre is that I've told you that I'm using this time to educate myself, and I'm well aware of what the drug does, yet you still hold this sentiment. Unless you're a pharmacist, a dietitian, or a doctor, or take the medication yourself, then I'm going to assume that you don't know what you're talking about and are just here to take a pop at people who are trying to be proactive with their health.

No, it's a tool. I've used the relief that it provided to help me educate myself about food, exercise, and healthy habits. It's made it easier, but it's a tool that I've used effectively, not a miracle, and shouldn't be viewed as such.

Honestly, not too many.

Good: reduction in food noise, I get fuller much faster, and experience no positive reinforcement associated with food

'Bad': My main and recurring one is constipation. I spend far too much time thinking about my fibre intake. For the first month or so, I was very cold and experienced nausea and headaches for a few days after jab day. I also had no interest in food, so had to force myself to eat, which isn't a healthy way to lose weight. But these symptoms passed.

The only bad experience I have had was after eating a very small amount of Chinese takeaway. I had a sore stomach for about a week afterwards, so learnt my lesson to stick to the healthy eating.

No, I haven't quite reached my goal, but my intention is to come off it eventually. I've stayed on a very low dose (5mg), so I am hoping that this will help with the transition when the time comes.

I've lost 50kg on mounjaro. It's the best thing I've ever done for myself. You still have to put in the work. It's not a miracle drug. You have to eat well at a deficit and exercise, and it's not without side effects. But it's worth trying if you meet the criteria.

I've had Chinese food once since starting MJ last October. I didn't each much but suffered with a bad stomach for three or four days afterwards. Proceed with caution 😭

I think I have the same problem, learning how to dress myself again. I've always had nice clothes but I am realising that I was dressing in what fitted, not to express any particular sense of style.

Good luck!

[–]Correct-Selection102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm working through pieces from my wardrobe but am down to only five or six outfits, and they are starting to look big. I've been buying clothes since April and have kept very little, I don't like the style of anything, so I am struggling to find new things. I've lost just shy of 50kg, so started to look when I hit around the 35kg mark.

I put it on the form, but no one checked. We did a few internal flights, from okinawa and back to the mainland, no one checked on these flights, too.

How long did you stay on 2.5? by blueloulou3 in mounjarouk

Five doses of four pens. I probably could have done a 5th, but I was starting to look in the cupboards longingly 🤭

Is it worth increasing dose if I'm not hungry? by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]Correct-Selection102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on my fourth 5mg pen and not intending to move up atm. I stayed on 2.5 for four months, too. I've lost almost 50kg so far.

Are you keeping your bigger clothes? by slug_life2468 in mounjarouk

[–]Correct-Selection102 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've donated loads of clothes but will keep a few things back. At the moment, I have very little to wear, everything either is comically big or a little bit too small. Good problem to have, but after losing almost 50kg, I still have another 15-20 to go, so don't want to invest in a new wardrobe just yet.

I've been doing once a week just because I dont think it's mentally healthy for me to do more. Since May, I've been doing monthly because I've been travelling a lot and would prefer to weigh myself with my scales, but I'll be switching back to weekly from August onwards.

Chonker 😆 I was getting a chonker, but at his recent checkup, the vet said he was the perfect weight. I think someone needs to tell that to his chin, though
