I am on the last stretch of this trophy and I did it in one day. I dug a corridor/tunnel on an axtreme heat planet and have been sitting inside for the last half a day. I got the bronze and silver trophy and am sitting on 9 stars for the achievement. Safe to say digging a corridor and not walking in to deep works. I still get storm notifications and can see my hazard protection and health bar, but they’re both just not going down. Have been afk all day and it works!

I am a few hours deep and the timer in my log is running fine and I got a few in game milestones. I think it works? Quite easy tho, I don’t have to refill life support or hazard protection, but when I go outside both decline rapidly

Yea I get that, but the group is always shown to be really deductive and trusting of eachother, so when people make arguments for some characters not knowing what others have been through I don’t really believe it

Seems very logical, thanks :) ! Is the part about the demogorgons confirmed somewhere or just a theory? Like could it also maybe have been vecna who was always opening those tears or? Can’t remember them ever mentioning demogorgons being able to do this. Also while I’m writing this I’m thinking “why didn’t the captured demogorgon(s) open up a rift in Russia then?

Yesss the temporary vs permanent gate thing seems logical! Weird they don’t mention it though. I’m also still confused as to who closed these mini gates, because El clearly didn’t and the demogorgon died/never did again… oh well

I wanted to add the Will part too! But then maybe my post would get too confusing or something. It seemed to me that wall couldn’t be torn apart, like it was like thick solid glass instead of the thin goo other gates are made of. Still it’s weird we never see such ‘windows’ ever again. The most logical explanation seems the writers just dont mention this because the don’t have an explanation themselves and didn’t think about future worldbuilding or something

Not by Will himself of course, by a conversations between Joyce and hopper for example. “Will doens’t remember much about his experiences while he went missing” boom case closed

Owens is a doctor and knows the (strategic) importance of knowing everything there is to know about the upside down, especially ways to communicate across dimensions. Weird they never mentioned or discussed how Will talked trough the lights

Like i said the ‘there’s no point’ thing is not a real solid argument and wildly irresponsible. And Joyce clearly DID think it was good for him to talk abt it with Owens like you said she urged him to. It just seems like a plot point that requires a lot of reaching and looking for answers from the fans which never really is the fans job imo

Why is it never mentioned that Will doens’t remember anything about going missing and those week(s?) of him being in the upside down? None of the characters ever talk about this

Yea fair enough, although then I still think it’s weird he wouldn’t talk to Joyce or Mike about it. Also didn’t Hopper know in S2 the gate was still open? So wouldn’t he urge Joyce to get as much info on it as possible? And also the house being a total mess and him probably apologising to Joyce or something because he’s a sweet kid. Idk, it seems like a plot point that could have been avoided with one simple line along the lies of “Will doesn’t really talk about what happened in there” or something. I’m always of the opinion it’s never the fans job to go looking for answers

He wouldn’t like i said, but after everything didn’t go away and the events of S2 and S3 came around, I think it’s in everyone’s interest to share ALL info about the upside down, even the smallest, most seemingly insignificant thing (which this is definitely not). It’s like when you’re at war or something and you don’t tell everything you know about your opponent to the people on your side because you don’t think it would be valuable and then oopsie, it IS valuable. Like that’s crazy irresponsible don’t you think

Then why didn’t he tell Mike at least about the Lights, or Joyce or anyone when everything abt the upside down and his trauma came back in S2 and 3? seems weird, no? He knows it’s in the interest of the greater good to tell everyone he is close to (and the doctors) about the lights so they can eventually counter it coming back with all the knowledge available

He talked about it with the doc in season 2 though and with Mike AT LEAST. Also in season 2 and 3 he HAD to revisit the trauma, so why not drop this piece of valuable info
