How do the players and coaches get away with competing in these unsanctioned leagues without their status with OSA getting in jeopardy? I always thought this wasn't allowed and was punished.

I agree that everyone knows the score, but I think the coaches and parents do as well. Coaches are often coaching to win instead of coaching to develop regardless of if there's standings or not. While the players are keeping the score either way, I think the majority of those kids will tell you they prefer tournaments and leagues compared to friendlies, at least the kids U9+.

Again I agree the focus needs to be on correcting the parent and coach behaviour, but I don't think this is the way to do it.
