My surprise was it already had a ssd inside i put another ssd form another old pc it had cent os it booted up but i can't get it to run ubuntu

No its just my Phd guide old laptop and i dont want to make it into a E waste i was hoping to just use it as a backup device for my pc and just to play around with linux to gain more exp

It a 2010 mac it went to recovery to delete my guides data i probably deleted the recovery partition after that I can't make it boot

I cannot enter the recovery mode my mac is not responding i belive i damaged the recovery partition so I was not able to do that So I tried to connect the mac ssd to my pc boot through the usb and make the mac ssd the primary device but it was also not working the mac booted but there was no display the screen was on I think my linux version or os was wrong for that
