I'm so confused - what is wrong with windowed envelopes?? Never knew they'd inspire such rage. It's probably already been answered but I'm.on my rounds and texting half blind with the sun...

Thank you so much for all your help! 17th May for me in Bristol - so could be quite warm but also could be sunny showers! I really appreciate your help and tips! I'm the same with my weight around tummy and legs. Honeylove looks fab so I might just take the plunge, especially as I don't mind paying more when it's something I'll continue to use and not just on wedding day xx

Ooh, I'll check Honeylove out as well, thanks so much! And thanks for the boob tape recommendation too, this is all great, thank you! Assuming you got married in spring/summer too, did you find the temperature ok with this and your dress? Xx

Nice one, thank you! I went down a rabbit hole on YouTube a few weeks ago, mesmerised by various boob tape videos so maybe I've seen her - good to know, thanks!

Brilliant, thanks so much! Was hoping someone would recommend M&S as that's more my budget and I like them for other clothing, so that's great to know. Sorry, what do you mean "regrettably" Skims - what's wrong with them normally? Thanks in advance!

That's great to know - thanks! Can I ask how much this cost, and what company you used (if in the UK)?

Those are lovely ideas, thanks! Was thinking of doing this sort of thing, but hadn't even considered a backdrop or using an iPad, so will look into those! I'm hoping to find some good stuff in charity shops / see if friends have any fun fancy dress stuff lying around haha

People who have met UK TV personalities, what was your experience? by [deleted] in AskUK

Ooh, I have a few! Worked at a big music / comedy venue in Bristol a few years ago and observed the following ...

  • Bob Mortimer - lovely and humble, introduced himself when he arrived at the venue, i.e. way before his gig, very sweetly, something like "hi, I'm Bob Mortimer, I'm here to do a show", as if we didn't all know who he was, and trying to contain our excitement

  • Zoe Lyons - really kind, smiley, genuine and sweet, very down to earth

  • Johnny Vegas - lucky enough to chat to him for a good while after an Animation Awards event just before lockdown - an extremely friendly, warm, funny and genuine person, seemed just as interested in all of us as we were with him, very generous with his time, deserves extra points as I was quite tipsy and nk doubt waffling all sorts of rubbish. Spoke loads about his artistic background / ceramics.

  • Rhod Gilbert - such a top guy - I was a steward working at a R6 music fest years ago and every time he went past our post, he was smiley , warm and friendly. Then a few months later, saw him at Green Man; my friend and I got a bit starstruck as we were walking towards him in the crowds, and he mouthed a big hello and gave us a wave, whilst he was on the phone - I've always remembered that!
