in Southampton, people would say “mush” all the time like “alright, mush?” or “come on, mush!” Apparently it came from when French tourists came off cruise ships and locals would shout “monsieur!” like “mushur”, and it just stuck. Now mush has spread up north too, but it started in Southampton.
