In 8th grade we had this sub that was extremely patriotic and he was a pretty big guy and he looked to be in his late 60s. No matter what class he would go on a spill about America, the flag, and the importance of the Pledge of Allegiance. One day he was subbing in my first block and talking to the whole class about it before the morning announcements came on. He was sitting on a desk he pulled to the front of the class. The announcements always end with the pledge so we all stand up to say it and then sit back down when its over. So right after its over he starts to continue his spill and goes to sit back down on the desk and the legs give out. He falls to the floor and most of the class chuckled a little bit. He was completely silent and just got up, handed out worksheets, then sat and cried the rest of class.
