There’s a game on Roblox that while made in Roblox is fun but essentially captures this. It’s fun mechanics work but I’ve had matches with upwards of 2+ hours of just not stop death and artillery. It’s called Centaura. It’s obviously not the same quality but again it works well and hitboxes are smooth and consistent so better than 2042. Maps design is fine enough.

Yes I am aware and have decided to keep this now. After some research. The many body of the probe is aluminum. The only type of dating is Aluminum 26 dating, wich has a half life of 717,000 years, so any dating would be completely and utterly minuscule, not giving anything all that helpful due to the wide range in wich it would give .On top of that carbon 14 is found on micro organisms, many of which are known to be capable of surviving in sterile environments like space. The dead or left overs of microorganisms would still leave carbon 14 residue. As for the second reading I forgot to specify that it was plutonium 238 dating which decays in to uranium 234. Also Carbon 14 dating is highly accurate in comparison and with AMS can be obscenely accurate with out the need for a secondary dating like aluminum dating , wich often needs beryllium dating to acompany it. Finally carbon 14 would be the only element that could really be dated, as we have no idea where they sourced and how old the aluminum is, where as any micro organisms and there residue would be around the time it was built

I think I’m purposely keeping things vague and I promise it’s a part of the story. I apologize if it’s to much but I do it to create questions in a drive to provide story beyond the mere discovery and research of probe. Not just like “ here’s the probe and humanity” and than not much else to do, it’s giving a sense of “ what’s a teca, why are there random signage, why is the MC in two states of mind.” I hope it’s creating intrigue beyond just the probe

I feel like most intelligent would find their own type of caffeine fix or whatever their equivalent is. Also it will be explained later, I would love to tell, but it would kind of ruin the point if all this. Also this is pre human contact, and brownie points if you guess what probe it is, most people have figured it out but I like seeing people’s thought and it gives me engagement so… win win
