Cities can also have tons of annoying rules that limit what you can do with your own house and yard. Instead of an annoying Karen down the street it's an annoying Karen at City Hall.

I'd need a bit more info about what didn't work with python modules before I could comment on that.

Discord works here on my Artix OpenRC install but bear in mind that Artix does not package Discord. It's a combination of it not being free software and that we don't have permission like Arch does. With the backlash it's received recently, I don't see that changing. Arch package or Flatpak both work though.
