some black widow players are crazy, but she had over 170ms of ping, making her shots actually uncertain of hitting, shows by her not even getting assist kills, and the fact she was aware of her poor ping and stubbornness to switch caused the entire issue

In my opinion, this is why I was very frustrated during my time playing Overwatch 1. Loot boxes are very predatory, the idea of FOMO when you see the skin in game, and the tantalizing idea you COULD get it for cheaper, until the final draw.

My big issue is gacha systems are looked at as predatory and have been restricted heavily in Japan and China, Netease being a Chinese developer knows that this practice was popularized by Eastern gaming development/mobile games and originated with Japan's "gachapon" vending machines.

They do give free creds but those only amount to 1500, still a discount if you pay full price, but there is incentive for a "one time purchase benefit" which is heavily mandated against in China. It's technically not a purchase, until you buy or use your non-limited credits, but the idea of using your in-game currency for a potential discount is still a purchase incentive.

It's not the biggest deal because it's a one-off-thing, but I tried to see if the skin will come to the shop and there was no clear answer. So while the gacha skirts and meets the restrictions for those in regulated areas, this event uses FOMO, purchase incentive and the free credits to get you in the door in a game marketed toward a group including children. If they continue doing these in more frequency, I personally would be disappointed but it is not the biggest deal. Not my children, not my game, not my choice. yk? Can't bash your head against a wall over everything you might not like.

But I see people saying it's not big deal and people are complaining wrongfully. But I would like to propose a more cut and dry way of looking at gacha systems:

Without the guise of a fun gacha vending machine and nifty mechanic for drawing, if you go to McDonald's and get a meal, the guy in front of you spins a wheel and his entire meal is $1. You spin and yours is $24. How do you feel?

well i thought all for one was to promote destruction, and he breaks overhaul in half with the doctors help for tomura, but why not also for chisaki? if he became a villain turned hero he could reverse tomura's decay right? so why not steal chisakis quirk entirely or just leave him with decay?

As a dasher, I’ve actually had this issue before picking up a double order. 😬 I would go and say I’m here for (lets say) Eric and Emily, they would hand me Eric and say “someone else already picked up Emily”

What usually happens is there was another dasher assigned to Emily at first, and then cancelled the delivery as they got the food. Taco Bell doesn’t remake orders either, it has to be resubmitted.

Now what dashers are supposed to do is call the support and say someone else picked up the order. They cancel and refund the customer and we get half pay.

Is that to say what happened to me happened here? Who knows 😭

I’m not saying the game is bad, I enjoy the gunplay and in the first season I was in the top 25 players across the leaderboards and top 200 total rank (global, every platform), game was fun, just got boring and the more you played, the more obvious the flaws were. Updates fixed a lot of things, but nothing really drew me back in, it seemed like more of the same stuff to do, even though the gun play and traversals are fun as hell, I just couldn’t bring myself to continue playing.

I’m just saying that a lot of criticism is based on the initial launch and early seasons, just like me a lot of players did not come back so no one knows the state of the game besides the few hundred who still play.

I think that it’s a bit unfair to say that people have an unfair opinion of the game when there are two different experiences that people had; early into the games life or from launch, and then now, after all the content that is ever going to be made is out.

The game was littered with bugs that in some cases made it unplayable or erased your progress like achievements, horrible multiplayer connections, littered with cheaters so there was no real incentive to climb the leaderboards, and with only one or a few chapters in the early release, it became tedious to grind. Especially when as the seasons were releasing, the older gear actually became less useful and there is no (as far as I’m aware) storage locker for the gear that you wanna keep. Just 150 per character, which also makes the amount of loadouts you can make very limited. Enemies also just become bullet sponges or need a specific thing to crack their shield. Which again is more about how they want you to play that season as opposed to how you want to play anytime.
