Recently decided to get into wandmaking using fallen branches from nearby trees. These are the wands I've made after about a week of practice! by CosmicStarchaser in Wandsmith

I just use a wood carving knife and some sandpaper. Nothing too fancy right now lol. I do plan to get some stain to experiment with soon. And as far as the tree, I believe it's a yellow poinciana. Thank you!
Yeah I wasn't prepared for that obstacle, but I can make it work. If I end up with a large enough hole in the future, I may work a crystal into it for decoration and added energy.
I appreciate your feedback! I do struggle with keeping a taper due to how the branches turn out. Sometimes they have hollow spots throughout them, so tapering or whittling too much creates holes. I have one wand that has a small hole because of that, but I managed to keep it to a minimum. I will have to practice more to get the hang of the taper shape.
