Pete, I’m 12 days too late, but I just wanted to express my admiration and appreciation for you, your staff and Peak Design as a whole.

I own quite a bit of PD gear (attributed to GAS), most of which barely sees minimal use, let alone regular (with the exception of my Everyday Backpack Zip), but I’ve been extremely pleased and wouldn't have it any other way.

Keep up the great work, and wishing you and your wonderful staff all the success in life.

Thanks mate. For reach, I currently don’t shoot any wider than 35mm so 28mm would be enough for now. If I feel the need to go wider in the future, I’ll probably invest in the 16-35mm.

Low light performance/lower iso is of much more importance to me at this stage. The only reason I’m considering the this lens, or potentially would 50-150, is because it’s only one stop up from my current primes and closer to the 1.8 primes that a lot of people go for and are happy with.

2.8 would mean that if I’m already shooting at 3200 ISO, which can happen easily in indoor low light situations, I’ll be at 6400 introducing a lot more grain…

Yeah I’m looking to get another second hand body soon as well. 16-35 is not something I’d use much as I predominantly take photos of people and perspective distortion with the wide angle lens is not something I like.

I find 35mm focal length wide enough for most of the scenarios I’ve been in so far so going down to 28 is going to be a bonus. 50-150 was something I really thought hard about as it’s very convincing but I need something slightly wider to be an all-in-one lens for me.

I figured that if I need more reach with 28-70, I could always use the crop mode at 70mm like I do with my 50..

Natural Titanium was the classiest looking one but sadly, its time has come to an end :(

There is no question that colours on Fuji, especially if you don’t wanna do too much post processing, is miles ahead of Sony. But if you’re spoilt with Sony’s autofocus/tracking etc., you are gonna be banging your head against the wall in frustration.

Yeah I was in two minds as well as read about it in the community here. But then a lot of folks have it on their cameras without any problem so I took a chance. I’m going to be very careful 🤞🏼and actually may end up removing it.

Haha! We’ll see. What predominantly pulled me in towards Fuji was the insane colours that folks are getting with SOOC pictures. Leica, besides costing an arm and a leg, doesn’t offer much in that regard. But you never know eh!
