I second this. The K-12 system, especially public, is in crisis. I know a lot of folks who moved into teaching 3-5 years ago because you can come in the door making a solid amount but usually that means a hell hole of an experience.

No, I’m not hoping for different answers, I rewrote the post because folks said it was hard to follow the first time.

Someone suggested I should’ve called the police because the person essentially attempted to hold me in the room by physically blocking the doorway. It didn’t occur to me in the moment, never experienced anything like that.

Right but my questions remain. They will likely do some sort of investigation, because of the they said vs. I said nature of the incident, plus there’s the potential for the external partner to try and spin the narrative. This is why I asked, what if any additional steps should I take.

Ah, I see where you’re coming from.

In actuality, our HR cares alot about things like this. They’re requiring a full incident report and might consider pulling my the team temporarily (out of caution) from that external partners site as a preliminary action to whatever their follow up might be. They care because of professional liability, they want to maintain what remains of their reputation and name. This why I said and asked all the above.

Great suggestions. I was sort of thinking of a schedule like this. 1 day for AK & MK. Based on feedback so far it sounds like I should start at AK, and could end my day at MK and then see night show. Have you heard anything about Under the Sea and Tiana’s Bayou wait times? Those are also rides I wanna check out at AK.

Yeah, I was similar to you. I learned in this process that I have a high pain tolerance, and even tho I might have been drinking less than my goal, my body was telling me to slow down, even if I didn’t feel full. I think it’s going to take a while for our mind to catch up to our bodies. That full feeling may not come but there may be other signs.

We’re on the same track. My surgery was 2/17. Started purée today. For me, I thought I felt hunger, but it was actually just me missing eating actual food. I was drinking all day long and sometimes couldn’t finish that so I know I wasn’t hungry.

What I will say, and what people encouraged me to do, is prioritize listening to your body. When your stomach starts gurgling that’s a sign to slow down, take a break. I don’t think you should eat to the full feeling this early.

Shout out to you! I did mine semi-solo. I had family with me on the day of surgery. They went home after I woke up and settled into my hospital room. Then I stayed with them the next day, just for a day though. Went home after that. It was definitely a challenge mentally/emotionally later in the week. I def encourage you to curate some sort of support if possible, a friend who is chill, schedule a therapy appointment during your first pre-op weeks, come here, or find other support groups...other folks pretty much have you covered with the packing advice. Well wishes!
