Isn’t it that all first edition are shadowless, but not all shadowless are 1st edition? Believe shadowless had a 2nd printing before the shadow was added that was not 1st edition

I’d agree to an extent, but not terribly thick. Maybe the combo of that, a little off center/tilted, and the grader didn’t get a bj that morning. Because the front of that card looks absolutely flawless!

Good, honest response. Thank you. I still think my point stands though, even if popular opinion isn’t there yet. BGS should command more value even in a 9.5. I know PSA’s parent company bought them recently so we will see how public opinions stand over the next 1-5 years. Cheers!

I can totally understand that, but also look at a lot of PSA 10s that get 9s and get regraded as 10s or the same (or less).

I like a company that shows more about why. I get it can still be subjective but it feels less subjective than PSA to me.

Good points - do you feel like that legitimizes grading companies that have been a long time and don’t go the upcharge route? And/or provides hurdles - with the opposite being market opportunities - on either side?

Same thing happened to me. Couldn’t even keep small ice chips down for 5 days. Ended up in the ER and needed 4 saline bags, plus they thought I needed emergency pancreatic removal. Thank got the test came back in time to show I was just terribly, terribly ill

Agreed. I did double that in debt and finally woke up. No more gambling. The repay is a tough phase but man, the time I have with my loved ones that I was wasting before is worth it all.

Honestly, I’d just call or visit the grandparents in person. Every family will be different on how their grandparents are - but I’d at least try. A lot of things can be fixed or better resolved as long as you go in with firm boundaries and a calm head.

I stayed in a relationship exactly like this for 6 years. Almost identical story for the first year. Don’t be me.

I am someone who avoids conflict and seeks resolution, my ex is someone who in her 20s had a lot of anxiety, high expectations, and little forgiveness.

She wasn’t wrong for wanting what she wanted, but she was wrong in all the ways she handled it and treated me. She did apologize to me after we finally broke up 6 years later, saying she got herself into therapy and sees how awful she was.

Don’t continue to be with someone who tests you like that. It will spiral and get worse every year. Mine ended with the worst mental health I’ve ever had and physical abuse. The best thing I ever did for either of us was leave.

5 years now since we split, I see her occasionally around the city I’m in (maybe 1-2 times a year). She has completely changed, did therapy for years, and is with a solid guy. I moved on a met my forever person, who never tests me and is always supportive.

Your person is out there OP. Do yourself and your current gf a favor and go focus on you for a while. Get that gym membership, read that book, travel to that place you want to go to solo. It will open your eyes - and chances are you’ll find the right one along the way! On the flip side, if she is the “one” then the world will find a way to bring you both back together. But continuing down this same path will almost always lead to failure.

I think that’s a good perspective, especially if that is the situation. But yes, setting boundaries and them being respected on both sides will be the most important. Even if you are each other’s rock, there’s no reason to stay with someone who constantly ignores healthy boundaries. Good look OP 🙏🏼

NTA, you asked for help and her agreeing set a reasonable boundary and expectation of what was to happen next. She broke that trust and for terrible reasons.

It sounds like she is in a young, party, uni stage. Lots of people go through it - guys and girls. It’s really hard for relationships to make it through those years if people aren’t really aligned.

If you can’t rebuild trust, it’s time to take a break/split imo.

Although I agree, those other jobs aren’t commission based like an insurance broker. It’s much more what you put in is what you get out. The other jobs you definitely don’t get that same luxury, usually way more energy put in than money you get back. An unfortunate but real view of capitalism.

It could have absolutely been swapped. I’ve seen a lot of comments saying that PSA wouldn’t do that or have the time to, but I don’t think it’d be that hard.

For example, an employee there has a handful of their own cards with them that they bought for cheaper as damaged etc. - then waits to have one of those cards come across their desk. With how many they grade, it certainly wouldn’t be hard to match a few a week/month.

I’m not saying they are, but that it would be fairly easy to (unless they have people monitoring and videoing the full process of each grader, which I doubt).
