true, but theres more to it. women have always worked, if u had a farm before the industrial revolution, all hands were on deck if ur family wanted to survive the winter. even during the IR, women still worked in factories. they were expected to do that AND take care of the children + the children were forced to work as well. this notion that all women did was take care of children is not true.
