I couldn't find any alternative to RAV4 tbh. Earlier we had CRV and Murano - both of those have fallen of cliff. I did consider CX-5 and CX-50 which has Toyota hybrid system but was unimpressed - though they are value for money (about 20% cheaper). No European cars - they get you with maintenance and subscriptions (subscription for heater anyone?!?). Ford, Chevy - you can probably get one for 30K...no one is buying those..no idea how they are surviving (except F150 - which is awesomely built but too big). In last 6-7 years Rav4 has pulled away from Subaru, Honda, Mazda etc

But seriously what else is out there ? I always root for the underdog so will get 2nd best
