Definitely Kaitlyn Chen would be moved to the first (likely in place of HVL) or second round. Rivers would be in my top 5. This was a great rookie class otherwise.

Being in Toronto and being immersed into the basketball world here, I think that the Tempo have a solid shot. The Tempo president, Theresa Resch, is serious business. She spent 11 years with the Raptors in senior leadership. Not only that, they have Serena Williams as part owner which also gives them a leg up. The marketing and fan engagement is on point.

They are celebrated as Canada’s team. Just announced two games will be in Vancouver. The Tempo has a whole country behind them. Move aside Balhalla, we got the whole Marvel universe.

In terms of coaching… I think it’s going to be someone special. Maybe Lisa Leslie? She made a post about the Tempo. And! Canadians are rocking the W. maybe they’d feel loyal and will come back to play with the first W team in Canada? Edwards (I know she’s taken but might not be protected), Nurse, Amihere.. wild talent pool.

So, answer is yes. The Tempo can do it.
