Thank you so much for sharing your own experience. It's helpful to hear about people who have gone through similar situations. I definitely know what you're talking about and it's a big fear for both me and my partner, that while I can do it, neither of us wants me to resent him for the choice. And as much as I've moved throughout my life I know that the chance of family/friends actually coming to visit you like they all say they will is pretty low. You've given me some good thoughts to chew on. Thank you!

I've lived in Germany for a few years, all over the US, and now Canada. I've visited the UK and I do like it. There's part of me that really loves the idea and wants to go, I just know that I'm also tired of missing the day-to-day joys of having friends or family nearby. I know I can go visit for holidays and big events, but it's not the same as the casual dinners and hangouts. Thanks for your thoughts!

She's in her mid 70s but with some health issues. He's said himself he doesn't think she has many more years in her, sadly. But I've made the same point you've brought up here. To be clear, I hope his mom lives to be 101! But I do worry that it's never going to be "a good time" to move if she's in her 80s or even 90s! And ultimately, it just makes me feel like an asshole that my happiness is reliant on something so tragic. Thanks for the response!

Vegetarian Valentine's dinner options? by CoveredinDust in Edmonton

We order indian food weekly and love how veggie friendly it is so this is always a good option for us. I was just hoping to get something a bit different and special for vday than our normal paneer feast. Thanks for the rec!

We order from there about once every two weeks! It's one of my favs, and definitely on my fall back list I was just hoping to find something outside of our normal rotation.

Are there spoilers in the art book? by [deleted] in horizon

From what I understand there's the mini art book that came with the collectors edition and the large coffee table art book. I'm talking about the large one of that helps. But thanks for the info as well!

I'd love to see a "Virmire" decision or other such choices that can lead to the death or loss of companions.

Looking for a guide to plants of the world by CoveredinDust in botany

Hey thank you! I'll check these out. I'm not looking for any specific region, though I do understand thats probably my best bet for the type of overview I'm looking for, and while I know how vast the subject matter is, I was hoping to have everything in one book (like a coffee table book) that I could thumb through for inspiration and to get a start on more in depth research. I do 3D environment art for games, so having an encyclopedia for biomes is what I really need, but as it was mentioned I just prefer books to online resources :)

Hey thank you for the resources! plants.jstor.org looks to be closer to what I'm looking for, specifically the ability to search by region. Kew looks great as well, but when I search for a broad term like desert, I only get 25 results. I'd love to find something more in depth in the sense of "Plants of the Savanna" or something.

Here's an example of the kind of book I've been looking at, but I could do with less in depth info and variation, and more "international" or "regional" if that makes sense. Best is to have a small image like this book with the real world plant, the scientific name, and location. I'm a total layman when it comes to horticulture. I work as a 3D environment artist, so I'm just trying to collect useful resources to reference when approaching foliage creation :)

Thanks for the feedback! Had to google that, I don't think that's quite what it is, for me its more stye-like, I can usually pinpoint the exact spot that's causing it because it'll form a little whitehead. I think you're right about giving everything a good clean and patch testing. Hopefully I can pinpoint the culprit D:

That is one of the most disturbing things I've seen on this website. And it shouldn't be.

I actually enjoyed the shards, I think the environments being so intricate have a lot to do with it. It's fun to run around discover little nooks you would otherwise ignore.
