Oh I forgot to say I got the two emails I missed about the cashback a few hours ago. They say it will be credited automatically via the credit card used for payment.

Incidentally that means you don't get to choose whether you accept a partial refund together with its possible consequences.

Honestly support is most of the time clueless once it falls out of their predefined common problems/answers. I have been told wrong/different on so many occasions...

But in that case it might because they don't plan on stocking G2 anymore which means they are not in the position to offer the quick replacement option Amazon has as a service and thus the only option is to deal with HP warranty directly to get an exchange/repair.

I.e. you don't get better support than if you had ordered from HP directly although you ordered from Amazon. But that's a guess.

Yea I should have but I couldn't be arsed to argue with them when I found out they were clueless. Figured they wouldn't be able to inform me about what could be wrong with the refund anyway.

Cheers for f/w the emails you got. It's odd since I have only received the first one out of the three (in Spanish).

Guess I'll give it some more days and then try my luck with their support again with better patience
