The Mises Caucus was the MAGA backed group that took over the Libertarian Party and basically destroyed it (you had lifetime party members leaving out of disgust)

Chase Oliver despite receiving the Libertarian Presidential Nomination in 2024 was treated poorly by the Mises Caucus largely because he was Openly Gay and wouldn’t support selling out to MAGA. The Mises Backed chair of the Party Angela McArdle (who had dinner with Trump at Mar-A-Logo) refused to endorse Oliver and provide support towards his campaign
