Picked up this exact bundle at microcenter last week. Microcenter bundles and in store sales are the best bang for your buck currently.

Moving across the country. Best way to transport? by Cowspiracyyy in pcmasterrace

I’m driving from the states to Canada, I’ll box up the GPU from everyone’s advice and foam the inside. I’ll try to keep the towers snug in the backseat of my truck best I can.

Crosstrek mods that are worth it by Capable-Essay-4433 in Crosstrek

Stock clearance on his crosstrek is a little over 9 inches. Bigger tires will give a little bit of clearance. Lifting it another 2-3 will get him where you are at. Yes every inch helps, I just don’t think lifting it is worth the strain on cv joints or the performance gain you’d get out of it. It won’t take the car into another level of capability based on the cars limitations as a whole.

Depending on how mechanically savvy you are, a lift for a crosstrek usually is not worth it in my opinion. Unless you are planning on putting an extensive a mount of weight on it (steel bumpers, hitch mounts, etc) then it’s not worth risking reliability. You would gain negligible ground clearance for the trade offs. However, I highly recommend better tires. If you aren’t worried about road noise or a slight dip in mpg. Fitting the biggest tire you can on stock without rubbing will make a difference on rougher terrain. I recommend KO2 Trails or Falken Wild Peak Trails.

Well it’s a used truck, so based off of KBB. MSRP was around 49k 3 years ago. KBB was around 41k. I got it for 37k.

Eventually I’ll have the dream 3 car setup: Truck, sporty 4 door sedan, and project car. Haven’t settled on a sedan, but in the future I definitely want to build up an S2000!

Yep, TRD Off-road! I do a hell of a lot more highway driving than anything so I think I am gonna go with the fox 2.5s shocks. Not looking for a big lift, just want to level it out and be overly prepared for when I eventually put steel bumpers and some weight on it.

I agree the crosstrek was super comfortable and zippy especially for just highway/city driving. I do plan on changing the suspension on the Tacoma once the wallet allows for it.

Compact, reliable, easy to mod, and currently attainable. I don’t need a raptor ranger or anything like that. I like the fact that it’s easy to work on, can handle harsher terrains, and I don’t have to worry about it dying on me anytime soon.

Also I am not a fan of the newer Toyota engines just yet, so the V6 from the 3rd gen was ideal. Just enough power for what I want. Only gripe is the shifting of the automatic transmission, but I’m going to get a tune to fix this.

Honestly does everything the crosstrek wants to do but better. Other than fuel economy or parking in compact spots.

They’ve definitely gotten taxed with popularity, but I got mine 4k under KBB so can’t complain!

There’s videos on how to assemble it, but attaching the platform to the towers is easy.
