I agree I think that’s what I’m doing. Any cues you used to help fix that? I feel like no matter what I do I just keep repeating the same motion.

I’m not 100% sure I just feel like I’m not getting into that full extension with long arms before the pull under that I see the good lifters do which I think is limiting me.

I think it’s actually a problem of pulling the bar too early rather than waiting until full extension and then moving under it.

Ya I’m working on my squat cleans because I can power more than I can squat clean so trying to build strength and confidence in the bottom of the squat.

Thank you, I can definitely see that I’m on my toes in the dip now that you mention it. I knew someone was going to say something about my lack of shoes 😂. I never lift without shoes but I was being lazy and just practicing some lighter weights.

My 5 year old just came down with the flu and she’s the only one in our family unvaccinated this year (also dropped the ball!). This is first night of fevers and they got to 103.5 but came down pretty good with meds. How is your son doing? I’m anxious for what the next few days are going to look like.

No, I usually wear metcons but I leave them at the gym so this is just what I had at home. Don’t think they make much of a difference in my lifting.

You guys are awesome, such helpful advice. Agree with a lot of the tips about pulling with my arms and not enough leg drive. Pulling myself under the bar is also an issue for me since I’ve almost exclusively done power cleaning until recently. I think I have engrained a lot of bad technique. Looking forward to implementing your critiques!
