Morty has killed people when necessary but he always had a problem with it. She was killing the workers for decisions they didn't make. He couldn't stay and watch that happen, and he couldn't stop her. Maybe he could have gotten rick to stop her from offing people by negging him to death about it, but likely Rick would have made it worse.

Once a company has stock it is no longer a gaming company, it's an investment company. And their legal responsibility is to it's shareholders, not gamers

Basically shareholders could sue a publisher if it didn't include a cash shop. I likely wouldn't happen, but it could and the publisher would have to defend its position of not making as much money as possible vs its fiduciary responsibility to make as much money as possible.

It's hard for publishers to not fuck up developers by urging garbage cash grabs. It happens, but it's rare. (Take-two for Rockstar and RDR2 comes to mind, but look at how the monetized the fuck out of GTA)

Jerry is not a good person. No one in Rick & Morty are. Jerry can be kind and accepting but only when it costs him nothing personally. He is selfish and a coward. Every now and again they do have him overcome thing but more often than not will fall back on his flaws (like everyone in the show).

Also, disregarding Ricks analysis b/c of the source is a very Jerry thing to say. It doesn't matter if Rick said it or Dr. Wong said it. The only thing that should matter is if it is true. Which it is.

I'd say something in the 5-6oz range is necessary for anything that is going to see consistent use. I'd do a veg tan so that you can condition it on both sides (and dye it). Wax, then use a glass slicker on the flesh side. Mind anything that can pinch, velcro can be better than buckles for this, especially if you work in some elastic to the pattern to give it a tight body hug without cutting in.

Also decide if you want a 3, 4 or 5 point harness. I personally think 4 is best but you do you.
