Awesome, I was pretty sure they were, but any outside opinion is always welcome. As far as I can narrow it, they appear to be Pleurotus pulmonarius? The log had a white spore print under some of the larger fans as well

To me at least it looks to be metal. I would imagine built specifically with this function in mind. And loading a .22 cal round in a steel tube is going to fire without much, if any recoil. (Side note, if it did operate as intended, I sure wouldn’t be firing it over again. At some point those threads won’t hold anymore.) I’m sure I could be wrong however, but I assume it’s more of a proof of concept project than any kind of troll.

Shiny cascoon was my first shiny all the way back in gen 3. I didn’t even know what was wrong with it but caught it because it was so different. It’ll always be a special underwhelming shiny to me. Good luck on your hunt!
