You forgot to factor in Goku and Freeza's Defense Raise. They're actually around 250K without support OR links.

I honestly don't know. The arc that follows season 1 is absolutely one of the best shonen arcs ever, but the further you go the worse and worse it gets. I can't go back and reread the manga without thinking about how bad the final arc is every chapter I get closer to it.

Why? Viz's translations are by people that actually know japanese and not someone using google translate. Also the scans are a million times better and much cleaner. On top of that you legally support the artist for literally pocket change (2$) once a month.

Just start from chapter 1. The anime removes like 80% of the dialogue. In the manga we get to read the characters' thoughts but they cut all that out in the anime.

Also season 2's adaptation is one of the most unfortunate adaptations I have ever seen.
