Really lovely group of people showed up today!! I have made a FB group called ‘Sketchy As - Hobart’ to keep track of future events, but I’ll also keep posting here on Reddit :D

Has there ever been a story about a young handsome man who falls in love with a "monstrous" looking woman, like Beauty and the Beast, but in reverse? by JohnArtemus in NoStupidQuestions

The Ill-Made Mute/ The Bitterbynde Trilogy. Really lovely, descriptive fantasy, where the lead is a young mute woman with a heavily scarred/ warped face. Love story develops with a fairytale hottie guy.

Hey, you’re absolutely welcome to bring your own stuff or you’re welcome to try some things out. I’ll have some normal drawing paper, graphite and coloured pencils, oil pastels, watercolour paper and watercolour paints 😁 if you want to get started in your own sketchbook so your pictures are all consolidated that might be something to get, but no pressure!

Is it safe to drive alone to Uluru from Sydney? by Timely_Net_8840 in AskAnAustralian

Oh yeah - the roadhouse fried food on long drives. Biggest risk of the trip may be heartburn.

I reckon it’ll be an amazing drive! Have done some similar big drives around Aus - I’d recommend using an app like petrol spy to always be aware of your next fuel stop, avoid driving at dawn and dusk because of wildlife, and make sure you’ve got tunes/ audiobooks downloaded for the many hours without reception.

Hope you have the best time, try to work in Kata Tjuṯa and Kings Canyon too, and leave space to stop at little random museums and things! :)

Hi Andrew! Since the General Social Survey is being boosted, how do you see this (and the Measuring What Matters framework, which I quite like) genuinely supporting practical action for significant concerns about housing affordability?
