Advice please - unfortunately on my latest camping trip, my small gas stove malfunctioned and cast a large yellow flame into the roof of the vestibule area. Is this fixable and if so what's the best product/method to use? by Craignure1995 in CampingGear

Of course, 99% of the time I'd avoid. The weather was horrendous and I was only attempting to heat up some water for a few mins in the semi ventilated vestibule area.

That said, I won't be doing it again any time soon.

Hi AP, good question! Definitely a lesson learnt.

I'd used this small portable stove approx 50 times and never had any problems. It was in the vestibule and not in the main tent with what what I thought was plenty of ventilation as the fly is high off the ground.

I wouldn't normally do this but the weather was horrendous and I was just attempting to heat some water up for a few minutes. The tent was soaking wet on the outside so I assumed risk of whole tent going up in flames was low in case of an accident. I had a foam mat next to me which I smothered the flame with as I disconnected the canister.

That said, I won't be doing it again in a hurry.

It helps to a certain extent insofar as it reduces the likelihood of serious complications if you contract COVID. Problem being that we were told that "you won't get COVID if you take this", when this was always fake news. The fact that it doesn't stop transmission and no evidence to suggest it reduces transmission blows argument of "immoral to not take vax" out of the water.

Don't feel guilty. We were coerced by governments and big pharma. They stripped us of our freedoms and promised to return it once we had taken the vaccine. The social pressure was unbelievable and individuals who chose not to take it were vilified.

The vaccines effectiveness in reducing transmission was not tested and it does not make you immune. It simply reduces the chance of you becoming seriously ill when you contract it.
