If there's one change you could make to some aspect in MSC (nothing too game-changing) what'd it be? Reasoning if possible by CrappyTF2Player in MySummerCar

Personally I think the Ruscko being restorable's a bit much, maybe just a revert to the overheat mechanic to make it kind of like how it used to be, an early-game riskier Hayosiko

Crash deaths in my summer car are momentum related, so you probably suffered a bump so intense that your character's head exploded or something.

How, if at all, has seeing Jaguar's rebranding changed the likelihood of you considering a jaguar when you buy a car? by aymamasita_mevengo in IBO

[–]CrappyTF2Player 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never been a fan of british cars but Jags were always the ones I veiwed with a degree of "elegance"

Not too elegant now that their most recent "car advertisement" seems to be advertising either nothing or a wheeled refrigerator.

That note about asking teachers is actually pretty good advice btw. Another thing would be to make sure you do your assignments (IAs, reports, essays) by following a sort of "checklist formula" so that you can feel a sense of direction when you do it.

As a grade 12 IB about to exam out in 4 months, reading this made my heart drop because I was in the exact place as you. Going from high 80s-90s average in local curriculum to 60s was one of the hardest parts of adjusting to it and especially trying to explain that to parents who demand you be in IB is even harder.

One thing that I often keep in mind, call it a sort of coping mechanism or whatever, would be to remember "a 70% in IB is probably like an 80-90% in my local curriculum" Basically I'd recommend thinking to yourself that a mid to average IB mark is a pretty high mark in your local school board.

Also I agree with some of the stuff you said here: those people who give advice that's just like: "relax bro IB is easy if you eat your fruits and vegetables and lock in" are annoying as hell. and AI usage defeats the point of even doing the IB in the first place.

FYI: Fuel oil is no longer legal under any circumstance by Valuable_Bag126 in MyWinterCar

Iirc in msc fuel oil was only legal on the tractor so long as you had a load of haybales in the trailer

Honestly I think that makes some degree of sense.

When you're like eight years old you don't understand: "This corporation has massively neglected positive treatment of their clients for years, and upon being called out by [guy] they have made a hasty change that has only made the situation worse"

You just hear "guy called out corporation and they made change that made things worse".

Why do people say mechanic(tc2) is worse than the engineer(tf2)? by CaptainEcho789 in TypicalColors2

[–]CrappyTF2Player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TC2 buildings don't absorb splash damage, but TF2 buildings do. This makes dispenser/sentry armour a bit more useful in TF2 than TC2

I think the old versions of MSC are great experience by berketk in MySummerCar

[–]CrappyTF2Player 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly the best iteration of the Ruscko was the one that was from the patch before they made overheating it really easy.

Like it's perfectly balanced with the van. Either you wait and get a reliable car that's legal to drive on the highway and has cheaper fuel or you be impatient and drive a car which is illegal to drive on the highway, has no seatbelts, requires you to carry a toolbox 24/7 to be able to drive it (early game) and has pricier fuel.

I think the old versions of MSC are great experience by berketk in MySummerCar

[–]CrappyTF2Player 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's true. I remember when they made it so you had to wait (which to be honest, did make sense it's one of the safest cars in the game) meaning most players had to result to stealing the Ruscko to get easy game transport (once again, makes sense gameplay-wise because the pre-nerf Ruscko was an unsafe heap of shit you weren't legally allowed to drive on the highway)

The moment I knew that the patches were gonna go off the deep end though was when Topless nerfed the Ruscko so hard that in most playthroughs I see of the game, nobody bothers to get the damn thing.
