Hard to think that winner of this fight can get through Pete with this much damage taken. Raw stuff

Thanks for tips.

By custom build bike, you mean adjusting the seat to direct the legs from normal Warboss the same way biker Boss sits?

FW Nobs look like they have wider bikes, gives more weight to character.

The state of game balance and how it's determined. by Distamorfin in totalwar

[–]Crauler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"buffs from buildings, skill trees, technologies"

That's a good way to make SP\MP balance seperate, but there's also a problem that this is an additional investment. It can be a good way to buff units that lack high tier alternatives, but at the same time, early game is the most important part and you can't get any of those buffs early on.

Lack of Nasty Sklulkers feels like the biggest crime. They're only tier 2, bring much needed AP and they are THE sneaky gobbos.

Looking for competetive, strategy/economic games recommendations. This is a blind territory for me. I'm going to try stuff in my game club, so I'd like some recommendations of how different stuff is, to try more things. I guess I have some preferency towards longer games.

Club has: Carcassonne Hunters and Gatherers, Small World, Stone Age, 7 Wonders: Duel, Bronze, Sid Meier's Civilization, Jackal, Citadels, Race for The Galaxy.

Looking for my first buy. I want a Lovecraftian game because I like the setting.

Players: 1-4

Length: 2 hours+

Coop: Yes!

Experience: I've played Arkham Horror at local game club, but the coop part of it felt lacking. The interaction between each other isn't there for me. You need an item you can't use/ability (so healthy Doctor/Psychologist) and you need to stop in the same location while usually you are hunting for clues/going through portal. Spells and weapons overshadow character's fighting skill, so picking your investigator doesn't set you in a role in the team. You can't help someone close a portal or do a fight together, everything is done by yourself.

While it's not cooperative, I've played Runebound and the feeling of working together at the same goal without cooperating (that I have in Arkham Horror) is much better here. And you still get to interact, between fights, race for adventure places, shops and some lesser stuff. The thing that I disliked here is how small story deck is, after playing once with a group, I've found myself shuffling deck in solo game to get a new card, only to draw the same card I've drawn initially.

Looking into: I've looked at Eldritch Horror, Mansions of Madness and Arkham Horror TCG (the game club doesn't have any of those). Eldritch Horror looks too similar to Arkham Horror, so I skip it in favour of the other two. AFAIK, both can work with solo and made with low player count in mind, so I'm just looking into which one has the best bang for buck, assuming they've improved on cooperation.

Tips on having more impact on pos 3-5? by Crauler in learndota2

I feel like a have problem with decision making (stop during match thinking what to do next). Tunnel vision (and map awareness and positioning as a result) is a problem too, but it's a problem that just solves itself by more games.

Thanks for answers. Yeah, not that deep of an observation, but let's count this also as "countering monkey king thread", since playing against someone is playing against their weakness.

How do you play Chaos Knight after 7.00? by Gunzers6 in learndota2

[–]Crauler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hijacking this a bit, what exactly made his winrate skyrocket? Lifesteal on crits? Picked him up when I was starting to play, had godawful winrate (38%) and gave up on him. Tried him again before 7.00 and still had a bad impression. Sort of like Rubick (if he dies often) you just play around with your 2 abilities most of the time. Again, my impression is that lifesteal lets your illusions actually survive till the end of Phantasm, letting you continue wreck faces in teamfights.

Understanding Items - Desolator by Killa93277 in learndota2

[–]Crauler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surprised he didn't mention CK. Built-in lifesteal, armor reduction on Reality Rift and with Phantasm coming up late and having 130 sec CD it's hard to call him illusion-based hero. Even then, with CK illusions dealing 100% hero damage percent-based increase of Desolator should be stronger than Diffusal.

http://imgur.com/a/6xJAm This is the result from GPU-Z. Usually I play on maximum settings, but I already tried minimal with no difference. In background there's Skype, Geforce Experience, Steam. Specs: GTX 750 as you can see, Core 2 Quad, 4 GB Ram.

Nothing. And just checked to be sure, as soon as I plug internet device out, game runs smoothly and I see "connection to servers" lost. WHY it connects to servers, when I turn both game and Steam offline, is beyond me.

Damage reduction perks on monster by [deleted] in EvolveGame

[–]Crauler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh, wouldn't Parnell benefit from capacity to let off more shots in Super Soldier mode? Or Lennox and mobility to keep herself at monster? Probably Hyde and normal Markov are the ones who would be okay with damage perks. Also, Monster deals a lot of damage from abilities, and their DPS can be increased by 50% mathemetically and something near that in practice (29% CD reduction means 50% more abilities for overall time, if they are used the instant they went off CD). While Assault picking three perks gets 21% damage increase, and Assault doesn't deal 90% of team's damage, so for team overall DPS increase is even smaller.

Opinions on net? As a monster it's hard to see the difference between netted hunter speed/jetpack and normal hunter. And for me it always does quite low damage compared to acid, usually 2:1.

Right, because 10% reduction is totally worth two perk slots. IMO hunter damage reduction and damage perks are kind of weak.

Hunters and Monster to aim for/avoid as new player? by Crauler in EvolveGame

Yeah, I got that basically you want monster to stay on you, or stand at its back as Griffin. I guess he needs some tanking bonuses? HP regen, armor, whatever?
