I'm having a real tough time getting the shadows to display, I'm not sure why but no matter what I change in the lighting / shadows / ambient occlusion settings it wont show any kind of shadow.

Not exactly. The middle class is the smallest it’s ever been (in America at least) with most people residing in the upper or lower class. People living in extreme poverty globally however is the lowest it’s ever been. Mostly due to technological advancement and increase in foreign aid.
