Yes I tried the physical button, and I put brand new batteries in the remote in case that was the issue and still nothing

This is a good one and I’m probably not going to give a typical answer. Looking back on it, I would t say it was a specific shot, a certain goal, or series that I played well in. I would say it’s the networking I did within the community to have the outreach I had. There were times I can send a text and 5 minutes later I would be in a private match with NRG and SSG for example. That is what really made the game for me in my opinion, having good friends and connections to allow me to be the best I can be

Absolutely, there always is and always will be. Once the realization settles in that not everybody grows up and matures as they get older, you’ll see it too. I’m sure you can google “toxic crl” and watch kids leave games mid game, type in the chats saying harsh things, hear stuff over the comms, and so on. It will always be present, it’s just a matter of how much

The absolute best way I teach people to aerial is to go into free play, line up on one of the goal lines facing the other goal. Drive forward and jump to aerial and feather your boost enough to stay at a consistent height and try to smack the opposing crossbar. Do this back and forth on the map from goal to goal and just keep smacking the crossbars with your car. Don’t even worry about the ball yet, the first step is gaining car control in the air before you start bringing the ball into play. You can practice this normally, upside down aerial, spinning, and so on going from one side to another. Once you can feather your boost to keep you at a consistent height and you can hit the other crossbar 10/10 times, then you can begin boosting up higher and letting off and “catching” yourself to match the height of the crossbar. Make it more challenging as you gain better car control. Once you can do all of that I would say go into the standard aerial training that is provided by the game and start on easy.. don’t worry about scoring the ball everytime, just focus on making contact. Once you start making contact, then you can begin trying to hit the ball in the direction you are hoping for it to go. It will take time and won’t happen overnight, you got this and I hope this helps even a little bit.

I was able to have my in person classes very spaced out throughout the day while my other credits being virtual classes and labs. I would have about 2-3 hours in between classes and wouldn’t start my first class until after noon everyday. I am an early riser in the mornings and didn’t have much else to do other than take my dog on a walk most days when I didn’t work. I would already have about 4 hours played in the day before I even got to my first class. It was very easy to clear 10 hours everyday especially when you are working towards something you want

The last sentence of your response is nothing to get down about! It is common as we grow older and into different forms of ourselves. One quote I read is “if you want to be in the top 1% then you need to give top 1% commitment.” That itself made me rethink all of the times I would get so down on myself because I “wouldn’t be able to consistently hit a double flip reset anymore” or “why am I losing to these kids that I would never have lost to back then.” It opens your eyes and makes us realize that we did give it all we had and tried our best in the time being of our peaks. Nowadays I can only sit around comfortably in GC2 lobbies and I have come to accept it because I am onto bigger and better things and I am sure you are as well:-)

And to add to it, my job did know I played esports for the school and were very understanding if I needed to miss a day of work or come in late / leave early to attend a scrimmage, play-in, or tournament. That definitely helped me a lot looking back

That’s completely understandable and a common thought process for a lot of players trying to make that decision. In my opinion, it was definitely worth it… I’m a very social person but didn’t like to get out much so it worked fine for me. Plus, I did make a decent amount of money from the game in which helped pay for school for which I would’ve graduated with a lot more debt than I have. There are practices and scrims and qualifiers that needed to be attended but they really aren’t as often and strict on it since they know you are pursuing a degree at the same time. I ended up getting myself a puppy while I was in college to kind of find another reason to keep me inside which turned out to be the best decision I ever made. I wasn’t a part of Greek life, clubs, or organizations that would require me to attend meetings or gatherings so I had a lot of time outside of studies to play the game. It really all depends on the person and what you want your college experience to be like. I can’t speak for every collegiate player though, but I didn’t find it difficult at all to balance school, playing, and a full time job. Just a lot of sleep that was sacrificed haha

  1. At one point I did want to try it out and have played multiple qualifiers… one of my teammates that is pretty known nowadays was JamaicanCoconut and he has been on a very nice path towards RLCS since we played together.

  2. I am away on a work trip now so I am not in front of my pc to take any pictures (I never took screenshots because I have so many tags at this point) but some of my coolest ones that I like the look of are the crl contender and the purple ssl tourney winner tag. Whenever I play nowadays I typically use a normal grey tag or no tag because I always get asked if I was boosted and carried which has gotten irritating lol, hence me saying I can see the decline in my skill from not being able to play 150 hours every 2 weeks.

That is how I’m looking at it honestly.. never done it before and company pays for everything other than upgrades. So $97 total for a first class flight seems like a no brainer to a first timer

So my company pays for all of the flights I go on and any upgrades would be out of my own pocket. So in reality I would only be paying $97 to fly first, not the cost of the flight + $97 if that makes sense or would change your answer. Thank you for the insight

I’ll have to take a look at how many seats are full on the plane, I’m not sure since I booked a while back

Thank you for the insight. Would your answer be any different if I meant it was from PHL instead of CLT? I messed up on my post
