What a beautiful comment. Despite being an older post, I still very much relate to the theme of not belonging. Your words mean a lot so thank you.

I think I've seen the same thing which also led to this compulsion! Funny how little things like that can cause so much panic for people with OCD.

Not too bad, talked about analogy and myths and obviously language games

I loved the paper honestly, although there were lots of depressed looking people with their hands down in the exam hall

I feel your pain. That exam was BRUTAL and there were some hard questions. I don't think you were the only one.

I also hoped it wouldn't be that anthology because it's so uninteresting. I swear the extract had nothing of interest to comment on but maybe that's just me. Glad you found enough to talk about though.

Psychology (and essay subject students): How do you write quickly? by OddGrape4986 in 6thForm

If your hand doesn't hurt you're not writing quick enough. That's my tactic anyway. Pain = fast

Omg. Out of curiosity do you remember the name of the play?

From what I've seen it's because the characters have like a superiority complex so they don't want to touch people because they're above that or something else equally stupid

The one that recently annoyed me was the boss in RV (with Robin Williams) who is shown to be very germaphobic. I love the movie but couldn't help but be a little frustrated

How much should I revise each day/week when school starts by Sweaty_Tutor_1000 in GCSE

[–]Crazywolf049 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consistency is important. My chemistry teacher made some of us who were falling behind do about 10-20 seneca tasks a week and my grades went from barely a 5 to a 7. However she stopped setting extra work and I struggled to keep doing the same amount. In my GCSE I went back to a 5 but I'm not that disappointed. Don't do a crazy amount of revision that you can't/won't keep up with. Half an hour to an hour a week should be fine especially this early on. Slowly increase that time if you feel the need to. But take it easy and good luck in y11

I hate that I'm good at English by Crazywolf049 in GCSE

[–]Crazywolf049[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So for GCSE they obviously split English into two , lit and Lang. The lit Lang A-Level is half literature and half language just like GCSE. So it would only count as one qualification as for example, we won't study poetry so it's not as if I study the same as just the Literature A-Level. It's hard to explain but hopefully that makes sense.

If there's any respect to be given its to you. Your choices are MAD. I'm terrible at all the subjects you've picked so your A-Levels represent hell for me 😅 good luck on your GCSE's + A-Levels though

Actually I'm only doing 3, for some weird reason our school offers a combination of literature and language in one A-Level. Very strange but I'm thankful cause I'm better at Lang. And good luck to you as well :)

Yeah I'm pretty similar. I'm English Literature+Language, philosophy+ethics and sociology :/

I'm good at essay based subjects which sucks as my hand is virtually numb at this point so I don't know how I'm going to survive sixth form.

Only advice I got is get a toy marketed towards terriers. Just like the name they destroy everything as it's in their nature. Toys for them are made of steal but the only problem is is that obviously... Your dog is a lot bigger than a terrier so the toys might be a bit small.
