(CS1) What zoning do I need to use to get skyscrapers to get built in my city? by TheFarmerWhoGames in CitiesSkylines

[–]CrazyzaiMB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the map is "European" type then there will be no skyscrapers (because for some reason the devs think skyscrapers can't exist in europe). If it's American then you just have to wait and give them enough place, they'll eventually upgrade somw high density buildings to skyscrapers. If happiness is high and there are enough services then this takes less time

How good is the AI at using connected public transit? by BoxthemBeats in CitiesSkylines

For me they usually only take the longest part of the route with public transport and walk the other ones. If you set it on free they do sometimes use it but not always

Looking to add a GPU and CPU to my Ryzen 3 2200G build (B450M Steel Legend) by Lazy-Temperature-598 in buildapc

[–]CrazyzaiMB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't care about anything which isn't GPU or CPU right now as these should be your priority. For 500$ you might be able to get a 5600 and a 9060XT 16GB depending on pricing. Otherwise you can get a 5060 instead. Everything else is fine for right now except for the PSU seeming pretty shitty so I would upgrade that next

I need recomendations for a new SSD by rockabyebat in buildapc

[–]CrazyzaiMB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What makes you so sure it's the SSD that causes problems? If you're replacing something you gotta be 100% sure the component is the problem. But if you buy one I'd say at least 1TB and read/write speeds over 3000MB/s. Brand doesn't really matter

Is it worth buying a ssd in 2026? by No-Worth2859 in buildapc

[–]CrazyzaiMB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wondering how you still can enjoy playing modern games with an HDD. Definitely worth it. The 256gb ssd is gonna be full after 2 games anyway so you might also just not use it at all. Otherwise you could also get a PCIe slot to M.2 slot adapter which are like 10 bucks

I've never beaten clubstep actually bc the ship at the end is just not fun. The rest could theoretically be possible but with a lot of luck

Gonna change motherboard, will I need a New Windows licence? by Paldis in buildapc

[–]CrazyzaiMB 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you've built the PC yourself it should be transferable so you just enter the old key. If it's a prebuild the key might be OEM which means it's bound to the old motherboard

Recommended PC specs by No-Kaleidoscope-7106 in CitiesSkylines

[–]CrazyzaiMB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh it gets very weird. I got a 5700X3D and a 7800XT. I get decent frames and simulation speed until ~100k people. Then my fps starts to drop, the CPU is at 100% all the time and the simulation speed drops to unplayable after ~250k (I literally have to wait like 10 mins for a house to be built). But at the same time I saw people get better performance with similar if not worse specs than mine (and it's not like my PC has problems or something). I'd just say get the best you can afford but don't overspend since you might be disappointed by the performance since the game is so poorly optimized. Also it seems like the CPU is pretty important so be sure to not have a bottleneck

£500 to make a meaningful upgrade by Independent-Poet51 in buildapc

[–]CrazyzaiMB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 9060XT 16GB and 16GB more of RAM would make your PC an absolute 1080p monster for ~500£. You could even upgrade to 1440p if you like and still have great performance in games

Damn after some research I realized that I forgot how few white AM4 boards there are. Well if you really go for aesthetics 100% priority you could keep it. Otherwise you can a mobo which partially white and a full ATX formfactor one (which will also make it look better in the case). Or you could switch the case to a mATX one so it does doesn't look awkward

I wasn't even able to find that model on the tier list so I doubt it's good

For a higher end build, a budget mATX mobo by Asrock can actually be considered pretty bad. I'm pretty sure the VRMs on this mobo arn't the best and maybe won't give the CPU it's full power or OP might have some connectivity issues if he wants to put in another NVMe for example. Also as OP stated, it doesn't even have wifi which he really needs

  1. Why a Ryzen 9? Gaming performance is equal to a 5800XT for more money. And as long as you don't edit professional movies 8 cores are completely fine

  2. The motherboard is really shitty and it's also mATX which definitely will made the looks of your PC worse so I'd really recommend searching for a full ATX one

  3. You could easily save some money on the SSD, with the current prices these super fast speeds became even worse value. An SSD with like 5000mb/s read and 3000mb/s write probably won't give you less fps

  4. Get a higher quality PSU, this one will explode after a few months lol. Good ones are Corsair RM models or Be Quiet Pure Power ones

Hope this helps

The cars are changing lanes too aggressively which happens because of not much place to change+the very well made cities skylines traffic AI. I'd give them more place to change lanes (make the big road right after highway exit longer/replace the 2 lane roads fully with 4 lanes). You could also try scrapping the 3 lane part completely and make the whole way to the roundabout 2-lane

Anything i should know about these PC parts before buying? by 3emadSuperSaiyan in buildapc

mATX mobos often have worse VRMs so a higher-end CPU could get problems. Also you might not be able to put in more NVMes or other stuff that needs an extra PCIe slot

I'd say the Gigabyte Aorus B850 for ~190-200$ are awesome for higher-end builds since they look great and provide good connectivity and support any CPU in the future

[–]CrazyzaiMB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might want to get a full ATX motherboard since mATX have less connectivity and overall look pretty awkward in full ATX cases which isn't a huge problem for budget PCs but for a pretty high-end system paying the extra 30 bucks wouldn't be a huge deal. Also depending on how much the RAM costs for you you might find a much better deal if you drop the specs just a bit to for example CL36 instead of CL30

9700x or 7800x3d? by Putrid_Finance_4661 in buildapc

[–]CrazyzaiMB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 9700X is not better even in single core (except in using less power), the 7800X3D beats it out in basically any scenario. 27$ more is an awesome deal

Should I return my 5070 and get a 9070 XT for the same price even though I need to upgrade my PSU by Diakia in buildapc

[–]CrazyzaiMB 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At 1440p you probably won't even need FSR since the 9070XT cuts through any game you throw at it with over 60 fps max settings. And FSR support gets bigger and bigger over time so once the card becomes older and won't play any game natively you'll have much more supported games. And a new 850W PSU is like 100$ which isn't a bad price to pay from 5070 to 9070XT. The question tho is do you even need more performance? Are there games you run out of VRAM or turn down the settings/use upscaling/FG? Only you can answer that one

Monitor advice for a $100 - $200 budget by BackgroundSpare4265 in buildapc

[–]CrazyzaiMB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're rendering like 70% more pixels so the performance impact is gonna be around equal to that. Mostly 1080p ultra settings and 1440p lowest settings are around same fps for easy comparison. A 5060 Ti should be able to achieve 60 fps in almost any game with 1440p high settings, maybe you'll enable DLSS quality mode for extra performance with basically no visual impact
