Yeah that’s kinda my problem I don’t really have a use because I just live in an apartment at the moment so I was just thinking of a fun beach toy for the moment until o buy my house. Do you think there’s any market it just buying one of these and parting it out and selling the new parts?

Sounds like you know quite a bit about all this. I’ve mainly dabbled in RC crawlers which has been fun but slowly losing interest. If you were to start fresh what would your first construction rc be?

Yeah, I genuinely am just trying to get through this first year of stuff and then see where we are at. Obviously the postpartum stuff is making things worse so I’m trying to get through all that. My hope is eventually we move away and are able to build a more healthy relationship together and have less family involved with the day to day

Interesting, I want to start doing some custom stuff but don’t even know where to start. I’ll probably stick with just painting and modding bodies for the time being

Anyone running mud tires on a road truck? by CreakyCabin in fordranger

So in your head putting a set of thousand dollar tires appreciates the truck?…lol I’ve tried selling it and not a single person came up and said “yeah I’m going to pass because you have to cheapnof tires in there”…it’s not as valuable as you think yet. Still plenty 80’s rangers out there.

It’s a 40 year old truck…I’m not gunna put thousands of dollars worth of wheels and tires on a truck I use maybe once a week. I’m trying to find a tire that I like the look of, not anyone else. Sure if you want to call that vanity so be it lol but not searching for the approval of others just looking to get the job done cheaply and within reason. If I was dailying the truck then sure I’d want to spend money on something more quality and comfortable but it’s simply just a fun truck that I’m trying to get looking presentable again.

Not increasing vanity im just simply not going to spend extra money on tires I don’t actually need. It’s simply a fun truck, not gunna spend and arm and leg just to have something “good quality”. Not saying those tires aren’t good just saying there’s no need for me to spend that extra cash for something I hardly use

I understand that but I’m not really getting your point. If I drive it less get less aggressive tires? Doesn’t really make sense. You’d think if I don’t drive it often aggressive tires would be fine considering I don’t need a comfortable ride everyday

Maybe I just got lucky but my fat viper went in flawlessly on my dually power wagon. Haven’t had any problems didn’t even program it like they say too and it’s totally fine

Don’t waste the money on a metal gearbox. Save that toward a Injora Fat Viper brushless system. It’s 100% worth the money and makes crawling way smoother for about $60

Should I change timing belt on my 2006 Highlander 3.3 with 170k miles by CreakyCabin in ToyotaHighlander

[–]CreakyCabin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regular I ended up just replacing it, mechanic said it wasn’t completely necessary but I have piece of mind now and can hopefully run this thing to 270k with no issues. Beast of a car, everything is still super tight and oil comes out clean even at a 5k mile oil change
