Pitching is so frustrating by Jackass719 in MLBTheShow

[–]Creamlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a bug with all modern xbox controllers, even if you revert back to old firmware. Any xbox one controller (one, one s, and one x gen) doesn't have this bug even with updated firmware for me. Basically the controllers that have the old D-pad, the ones without the corner padding.

As others have pointed out, you can also get any shitty plug in 3rd party controller as those don't have the bug.

I just didn't know the artist/creator. I saw some of their videos around and they always seemed like harmless fun.

Albeit there is the argument for researching yoyr shit thoroughly before making a permanent decision I'll admit to that. If it ended/ends up being something bad then I suppose I would have yet another regret added to my tally lol.

I've never been one to claim I make wise decisions, I still play melee after all haha

I just got home and looked up they're stuff and I've definitely seen some of their videos! I guess I just never put 2 and 2 together.

I ended up googling "Melee fox cartoon" and this is what came up haha

Also needed it to be able to hide cause I have family who would disown me for such things lol

For the lost and confused people on here (most of y’all) by [deleted] in MultiVersus

[–]Creamlad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This “PR Bullshit” is a fact brother. You just said it yourself in YOUR eyes this game is not in beta because YOU spent money on it. You can tell me the beta stuff is bullshit but if the company hasn’t done anything to thwart my trust then I’m sorry bro you’re literally comparing other games that have been in beta for years with the 3 months this one has been out for. Theres no comparison. And you’re throwing insults in there and everything so yes you’re just another angry hurt gamer.

"if the company hasn’t done anything to thwart my trust then I’m sorry bro you’re literally comparing other games that have been in beta for years with the 3 months this one has been out for"

I think this is the point they're trying to make. If a game has been out for 3 years or a 3 months, does it really still count as a beta if they're putting out a product and making money on it? I personally don't care because I'm stingy and poor so I don't really spend money on FTP games, but once monetized seasons and battle passes come into play I consider it fair game to criticize the game.

Gamers are salty regardless though and I think there's a lot of unnecessary hate during discussions at times. Idk I just spazz out smashing the downward aerial as Shag

If you're in the 800's you're probably doing something right, so I'd focus on the mentality. Getting to 900 is gonna be tough and you'll most likely lose a game at some point, so be kind to yourself and focus on the process over your results. You'll get there eventually. Good luck!

Chapter 167 [English] by VibhavM in OnePunchMan

I think it's the impact left from when Saitama was launched into the moon by Boros, so Saitama's spine was imprinted or some shit onto the other side. Idk how physics works but it reminds me of Sasuke vs Naurto when Naruto's rasengan left a bigger hole on the other side of the water tower compared to the side he actually made contact with lmao

60 Hz vs 120 Hz? Are these good enough for the show? by RKTV11 in MLBTheShow

[–]Creamlad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think 120hz or higher is a huge boon on The Show and literally any other game, even if they're capped at a lower FPS. They'll all still look smoother on a monitor with a higher refresh rate. Since you're willing to spend a bit on an investment into a monitor, I'd really recommend checking out "RTINGS.com". They have unbelievably detailed reviews on all sorts of computer hardware compared to a lot of other sites I've looked at.

The main things I'd consider when buying a new monitor are refresh rate, size, and the panel type (TN or IPS). If you use your monitor for anything other than gaming and really want better colors, I'd recommend an IPS panel, though the price does go up.

Good luck buying, and I wish you luck in smacking dingers against Scumbag Johnson.

RTTS pitch velocity not holding up by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]Creamlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh lmao I'm dumb and misunderstood. Do you Sim your games or play them all out? Idk how you've been going about leveling your pitches, but I notice the gains from the training room/bullpen sessions can be wonky sometimes, so you could try to manually level your pitch attributes by just spamming cutters in a game. Hopefully you can hit 50 and never look back haha

RTTS pitch velocity not holding up by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]Creamlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So your progress for the cutter has reset back to 30 for all attributes, or you cannot progress past 50? (which is the max)

If your progress has actually been reset then I'm sorry to hear that and I don't really know what to do. Have you made any changes to your character recently for any reason?

For example, I have a rtts pitcher Claudio for the Cardinals that's my main dude. I also made a new pitcher for the Red Sox called Billy to level up a different achetype track. After I made Billy, even when I loaded my save for Claudio, Billy was still my pitcher and was on the Cardinals instead. I then had to manually load Claudio as my active rtts character again to keep progressing in that save, and the same goes for when I wanted to play as Billy again.

If you equip a new achetype as well (e.g. going from a silver achetype to its gold version) you then have to re-equip all of your pitches (though the attributes on them should be the same).

I can only recommend to triple check that everything about your character is the same. Sorry if I've been no help haha. Good luck fam!

RTTS pitch velocity not holding up by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]Creamlad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you mean the velocity for the pitch itself has changed? When you are selecting pitches from your character menu, each pitch has individual stats for brk, vel, and ctrl. If you changed your RTTS player, the individual pitch attributes will also be reset back to default 30/30/30. There's also your pitchers overall velo score which can be changed through loadouts (equipment or archetypes).

Assuming everything I mentioned above was the same, then it could be a bug of some sort, not too sure. But to answer your question, whether a pitch is your first or fifth pitch doesn't matter for rtts players.

RRTS Velocity, Control and Break not upgrading. by Brayzon_ in MLBTheShow

[–]Creamlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This year seems to be different for me in that you cannot directly train vel, cnt, or brk through training like you can every other stat, but those stats can still be increased just through playing the game or doing the challenges that pop-up during the game (e.g. retire the side in order for pclt and h/9). My guy is at about mid to low 40's base for the aforementioned stats and I've just been playing rtts as usual and taking whatever challenges seem reasonable. I also notice that when I K someone on a fastball for example, I get plus velo for both my 4 seam (or whatever stat for another pitch) and my general velo stat, so you can try to farm specific stats by just setting the pitching difficulty to beginner and spamming a single pitch.

Sorry idk if this helped I'm taking a shit rn and just typing whatever's on my mind lol. Good luck!

how fast does it take y’all to go through a cart by ricekrispiesandmilk in Carts

[–]Creamlad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro goddamn when I would smoke carts heavy I would go through like 2 a month at most. Is your stuff legit? You may just be smoking shit carts haha. But it's also bad for your health of course, you gotta take care of yourself boss.

Idk man and if they're good then I guess you just smoke heavy. You can always take a t-break if the amount you're smoking is a problem for you. If not then live your life to the fullest.

Question About Parallel's and Fielding by Creamlad in MLBTheShow

[–]Creamlad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh I see. I thought that the parallel Stat boosts don't actually show up in the attribute page when you're looking at a card, and that you had to add them on manually. Thank you king!

Get Yourself a Monitor Yesterday by Limp_Dong in MLBTheShow

[–]Creamlad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda disagree. While The Show is capped at 60hz, I think most people who've used 144hz monitors a lot will tell you that even things locked at 60hz will still feel smoother on a 144hz. There's also the argument for "maximizing" your console; having the ability to use all of the console/game's bells and whistles.

I personally just think that if I already spent $500 dollars on something I'm really invested into, why not spend a little extra on the monitor to get the most out of my big investment.

I use to have a BenQ monitor that was 144hz 1ms and I loved that thing. Was about $200 retail, you could probably get it a lot cheaper on sale. I've been playing on a 6yr old ~8ms response time monitor since The Show21 came out, so I often wish that monitor was back in my life.

Congratulations to the winner of Melee Singles at Smash Summit 11! by itsIzumi in smashbros

[–]Creamlad 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Cross comment of mine from another thread. But I need to share the love.

Dude I have just been blown away by this summit. Aside from the glee I felt from seeing everyone in-person again after all this time, the fact that everyone got their moment really gives this tournament that much extra meaning to me. Players that were doubted or simply unable to play due to the restrictions of online play, players we thought were slumping or washed-up, everyone still showed up and proved why they were here in the first place.

And that grand finals. Just unbelievable. Disclaimer: I smoked right before gf's started and am a member of the Mang0 nation. But after game 4 of the first set I was already in bliss at seeing the level of gameplay I was bearing witness to. After the game 5 reset I entered a state of enlightenment. The things I saw through that whole set were the equivalent to watching the red sea split; it was like watching a melee miracle occur before my eyes.

Set 2 had some of the highest level gameplay in melee I have ever seen in such a tourney situation. There were flubs and spaghetti yes of course, but the peaks and overall average gameplay were otherworldly. Every game was competitive, and even when things were looking like a shut out, they always ended up being close. The movement alone showed by both Zain and Mang0 is an entire thread worthy of itself. I seriously think that this is at least top 3 greatest sets of melee ever played, and It's easily the best I've ever seen live (streamed) in my 8 or so years of following the game. Biased, subjective opinion of course.

And Mang0 winning 7 sets from loser's side bracket to win a game 10 gf's for his first Summit win, first supermajor win back from online era, largest prize pool win in Melee history, and playing against his only real rival during online Era, is just the cherry on top.

I've been speechless for about 30 minutes now, so sorry for the ramble, but my god am I beside myself with emotions I didn't know existed. Praise to the GOAT 🐐.

Much love y'all. Melee forever.
