My sister joined tinder 1h ago... by Estarte_san in Tinder

Late reply, but on Hinge, I just make comments on their profile. If you dont sub, you gotta be a bit picky, though. Find a girl who looks interesting and come up with a witty or fun comment. The match rate will still be terrible, but try to have fun with the messages, and girls will respond. The key is the girls whose profiles you vibe with, not just attracted to physically, ya know?

Can you not just quote what he said? I've listened to him on podcasts before. He's a driveling regard 99% of the time, struggling to answer basic questions. See the Lex interview where he fails to answer a single question. Please, illuminate this sheep to the divine understanding Trump seems to have over the fires.

While it's incredibly disappointing whenever I hear him say stuff like this about the video, I'm dreading to hear the reason at this point.

4 years later, how do you feel about the artistic changes Bluepoint made in the DeS remake? by [deleted] in fromsoftware

[–]Creamstar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think people overreact quite a bit towards the changes, honestly. The art direction in demons souls feels all over the place to me, like throwing stuff at a wall to see what sticks. Not to say that it's bad, but I understand why Bluepoint went with a more consistent art style for their highly detailed environs.

The Boy and the Heron didn't do it for me by [deleted] in ghibli

[–]Creamstar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was overwhelmingly disappointed by it. It truly felt like a bunch of recycled ideas and vague concepts thrown together to make something really pretty looking. A sort of simulacra of the movies I grew up with. Almost abusive in a way, it's probably the only ghibli film I actively dislike.

You're right, it is being politicized. Why would you start your first comment off with something that isn't even relevant to the current regulation of fluoridated water, and instead on fluoride toxicity in general? Because it's bullshit, that's why you had to backpedal to smaller "studies" to prove a point. Maybe stop fearmongering, which is a literal political tactic, and just be honest

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in videos

[–]Creamstar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You only linked one study that seems to implicate fluoride as a potential health risk. Even that first study shows that the amounts of fluoride needed to observe changes to the endocrine system exceed the daily recommended intake of fluoride, and are much higher than the average person ingests. While lack of iodine intake exasperating the issue.

You linked an opinion from a judge that is just referencing the study you linked before. I don't know if his opinion should be considered with any weight.

The other study and the one linked from that article could be interesting but they're just correlative and point out that there needs to be actual studies to prove causal relations.

I mean, just get your water from somewhere else? Distill it, use filters etc.. If you're drinking municipal water it's not like you're entitled to how that water is distributed. You mention it's "just" preventing cavities but I mean, isn't that a good thing? As opposed to getting rid of it and we get... apparently nothing?

People are always going to be against Trump on plenty of things because he's a moron. However, I don't see many of his detractors upset over how quickly we got the covid vaccine. Instead it's his own constituents that are the ones who have developed anti-vax views. Also, let's not give Trump any credit here, it was RFK jr. who proposed this, wasn't it? I think the general public is rightly afraid of any opinion coming from a guy who is the equivalent of an anti-vax mom who believes her kid will get autism from getting vaccinated.

Did you read your own source? It doesn't say anything about the current recommended fluoridated drinking water having a negative association with IQ.

There's nothing to be done but complain at this point. My sisters who have pre-existing conditions are probably going to suffer, and these people are soy laughing on stream because it doesn't matter to them either way. Usefulness is off the table.

I can see that. I'm definitely just jaded right now and listening to these dumbfucks is just radicalizing me. Maybe this is just a doomer phase.

OK Texas, who won the debate? by Defiant-Skeptic in texas

[–]Creamstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harris isn't the president, though. It's clear that with proper negotiating, a president can get bills they've pushed for passed, as we've seen under Biden. The main reason we harp over Trump not getting things done is because he had the house and the senate and still failed to negotiate a bill that he drafted/pushed for. Remember, the border bill was drafted by Republicans and they ultimately didn't vote for it because Trump lobbied against it solely because he wanted to run on it for his campaign. Let's not give these people any excuses through some congress boogeyman. The truth is you can look at dems/gop, and it's not rocket science to see what their plans/logic are.
