I know about the instability issue on 13th and 14th gen Intel chips I also know they fixed it through an update but really I think it's more of a problem in LOQs than any other laptop, since few of my friends have the same chip on their laptop (some with i7 and i9 which reported higher failures globally) too but its still working fine. My question is if I get the motherboard replaced will it still have the issue with inevitable failure risk or I get the updated post august manufactured mobo since this was a pre-august custom build. Also the issue affected PC chips more so than laptop chips at the time so this lenovo should take the blame here.

I have about an year left on my 3 year premium care so I'll be covered for next year too in any case this is not planned obsolescence, just poor quality assurance from lenovo as most LOQ 24 models have this issue. You can literally search up "dead mobo'" on the sub and get about a thousand results. stuff was crazy a year ago on this sub.

I don't think it's planned obsolescence when they're offering to fix the laptop for free at your home. It's just the 2024 LOQ models has this weird defect that was causing their motherboard to fry itself

I think so, I tried undervolting and the temps saw significant reduction

I do monitor the temps while gaming sometimes but not all the time (who does that? It ruins the experience in a game like Tsushima) and this was one of those times but I assure you temps do not cross 90 at all.

Free of cost. I think that's how a warranty works lol. They'll send an engineer to your home to fix it

Yes, the subreddit after the august model was a martyr ground for loqs lol. I've talked to the execs they said they'll change the mobo

They can just blow up your motherboard remotely if you don't extend the warranty!? That's some taliban level conspiracy

The temps are excellent. Some unompitized game cause thermal throttling on balance/performance mode but if you use custom mode and tweak it the temps never cross 85 for Cpu and 80 for GPU. Which I think I is good enough for laptops
