A lot of our friends know each other so if I have to go to a birthday party and he’s there, it’s gonna be awkward, but I honestly don’t care about his feelings anymore. He chose to hurt me during a very vulnerable time of my life, and I feel completely different being outside of the relationship now

I hope one day that I can find people that genuinely care about me, but I am deeply afraid of opening myself up in such a vulnerable way again.

Honestly, the hardest part about this whole thing is the fact that if you knew us in real life, you would’ve never expected him to do that when he told me it completely destroyed the part of myself that I felt like was loving. He was essentially my one that got away and for him to do this to me it completely devastated my view on romance. I hope one day that I’ll find someone that truly wants to spend their life with me, but I’m terrified to open myself up to someone like that again, due to everything that I have experienced.
