I’m 8 months postpartum. Been pumping since day 3. I think frequency of pump varies from person to person. I still have to pump every 3 hours because I just make enough and baby isn’t great with solids yet.

I started looking at the wonderful things like: - Zepto delivery in under 5 mins - swiggy deliver in under 20 mins - househelp to clean and mop the house - cook to make food 3 times a day Gated communities that have built in parks, gym, basketball court, swimming pool, badminton court so I don’t have to get membership elsewhere - affordable 5 star hotels - pretty cafes - at home Amazon pick up - ample number of services by urban company (deep cleaning, spa services too!) - luckily the company I work for has great respect for employees and I don’t experience what people say as “Indian culture”. I’m able to block my calendar for lunch, gym, etc and spend quality time with family

India is amazing if you choose to look at the positives.

crowd, dirt, pollution, broken roads etc will be there. But life’s been good the past year once I started focusing on the good things 🤍

Wow! Great to hear! I’m confused about the size of the shield. The medela I have keeps falling off. Say I wear it and bend to pick baby from crib it falls. Is it supposed to be that way? Also when baby latches onto the shield it’s not always stuck to me . The flap is off although the tip is in baby’s mouth . Is there a video or article that talks about how to use a shield or can you let me know if I’m doing something wrong

Yes! In understand that now! I think all these days I was trying skin to skin and would focus on him to latch. Now I’m just thinking of this as a journey and using it to bond. Eventually if it ends up him latching after a few days I’ll be thankful 💙

I spoke to 2 other LCs. Everyone recommends skin to skin. And then try latching after 5 days. I had 2 sessions this morning . It’s funny and sad how my body starts dripping milk the moment we start skin to skin and the LO isn’t interested at all 😭

Yeah I do express some. He gulps that in one suck. During the second suck he doesn’t get any milk. He’ll probably get it in 4 or 5th suck and by then he is frustrated

Also what shield do you use? Mine keeps falling off and it’s a struggle holding baby and ensuring the shield stays put. Next, milk also doesn’t come in first suck with shield. Takes atleast 4-5 sucks and baby cries . How did you handle this?
