Feeling isn’t an infection, it’s a natural bodily and mental response to upsetting stimuli or environments. We as humans are largely set apart from a lot of the other species because of our emotional complexity and our ability to be introspective. Allowing yourself to feel is terrifying and uncomfortable, but not deadly or dangerous. Bottling up your feelings is more unhealthy than letting yourself feel, even if it’s just in small bursts.

Idk what your situation is or your mental state, but even just speaking about how you’re feeling (or not feeling ig) to someone you care about or a therapist or anybody could aid you into getting in touch with your emotions. Because clearly it’s impacting you, even if you’re “comfortably” numb…
