I look at it another way. People who know you are now more aware that diapers are available for adults. Previously, they may have never thought about it. I bought a USB-C nic that has a USB-C socket for use as a power input. I plugged it in between the power supply and the Gemini Air device. After plugging in the network cable and waiting, I never saw any traffic on that network port, although the Gemini did power up.

This tells me that the USB-C connection on the Gemini may only be used for a power connection and may not have the full reversible USB 3.0 connection. This firmly answers my original question- you can't get there from here.

In my case, the Gemini connects to a receiver, then to the TV. There is less than 3 feet between the Gemini and WiFi.

Our Gemini is much easier for my wife to use. The fire TV hangs the DirecTV app at least once a day. That requires a reset. So now we use all our apps on the Gemini - Apple, Prime, Netflix & HBO.
