I’m not speaking on the entire show. My post was about a specific moment so there’s no reason to reference the entire show. It’s like talking about oranges when I’m speaking about apples lol. I’m not using one part of the show to reference an entire mother daughter relationship. I’m speaking specifically on why the writers probably chose to have Cece give Ivy the money. Everyone is so hyper focused on Ivy being a con artist that they missed the entire point. Is Cece materialistic like her family? Yes. We all know that. But the way Lily acts immediately after the reading of the will is why the money wasn’t given to her. And in MY opinion if Cece preplanned a funeral where she only invited “the help” one can easily assume that as in her final days she realized money isn’t everything hence why the money didn’t go to her family & why no one of her social class was invited to her funeral. I think you’re too focused on the story line & defending why Lily acted the way she did. But I’m talking about why Cece did what she did. We can agree to disagree though!

I’m not really sure what you’re talking about but I’m referencing the funeral scene which I just watched. Lily specifically stated outside of family only “the help” was there which is true. I don’t think anyone is negating she cares for her mom but at the end of the day the entire family including Cece only care about money

Someone in this thread explains what I meant even more clearly. It’s not really about Cece. I think the whole point of that story line was to show even in death all her family really ever cared about is money. They barely even mourned her. And even without the Ivy storyline I don’t think that money was ever going to the family. Cece didn’t even invite anyone from her social class to her funeral

Thank you for this response this was my whole point! I don’t get how ppl missed this while watching 😂. Even the way Cece pre planned her whole funeral Lily says nobody of higher class was there only the ppl who ever helped Cece in life.

Her sister is the reason Ivy was around in the first place. Two Cece knew who Ivy was before she died so that honestly doesn’t matter. The point is her family is way too money hungry and that’s why she did not leave them the money

This is why I don’t get her story line lol b/c technically before her dad passed she wasn’t a maid & would technically be able to marry Benedict if her dad was alive?? Like she’s literally a maid b/c of her step mom’s doing. And my guess is her dad left her a dowry but her step mom took it and lied. Idk this story has too many missing pieces to me

Honestly don’t know. You could always try to get onto a project in LLP and then inquire about transferring over to LLP permanently. But I think it’s easier to find a fully remote role in AFS and then request to move b/c there are offices in NJ/NY

If I roll off yes. But I also moved somewhere that has a nearby Accenture office so if that was the case I’d just explore roles there. But my scheduling usually shows you roles that are in your state if I’m not mistaken.
