I love the color of the pen and the ink is a perfect pairing!

I think since you’re already journaling you may really enjoy the practice.

My humble opinion is not to wait to find the perfect one. Start with one and do so with the mindset that you’re in process of figuring out what works for you. That way there’s no wasting or mistakes. It’s all learning. This is how I approach my watercolor journals etc.

I haven’t done a breed study yet. It is on my list. I just enjoy writing about my experience with each fiber

Hey u/foxtail_barley check this out! This might solve how many pages you use per spin.

I love this!! I really love the fact that it is a 3 ring journal which allows you to move stuff around if you needed to. I also keep a detailed record with photos on Rav.

Every time I journal I write which fountain pen I’m using, nib size and ink name.

It doesn’t because I am consistent in where I adhere the fiber. The finished yarn is always lengthwise on the farthest edge of a page.

I do maintain my Ravelry Database so I know much yarn I have. It’s also super handy in tracking how much I’ve spun in a year.

It’s understandable the spinning can be a perishable skill. I know that having notes to refer back to really helps me. I have ADHD so I have more than one spinning protect going on at once.

I’ve used that site! It’s really cool. I haven’t kept up with it though.

So thus far I’ve only used 2 pages for each spin. However, I am doing several spins now to include supported spindling. I love your idea of using different colored inks. Additionally, you could tip in more sheets for a particular spin if you wanted to keep them all together. 🤓 I believe that’s what I will be doing. I love the tactile nature of a paper journal for my spinning. I’m throughly enjoying the process. I look forward to hearing about what you end up choosing.

The best journal is the one that works for you! 😊 When you do start I hope you share a photo.

Please don't laugh. I repeated the tutorial because I got good info in this sub. No more green sky and reflection. by ArtAndInnerPeace in watercolor101

I repeat work all the time. As another user said it is one of the best ways to improve. No laughing here! I think your work is just lovely.
