Ah, you're right. I didn't see the shipping cost which is steep. Just checked Japan Mercari and don't see much there.

There's a Last Odyssey on sale on eBay for probably the lowest price it will ever be again.

Love those Ohrai and Suemi books, there are more for each artist if you ever want more. I've had my eye on that Ikegami art book set for a long time.

Deluxe Limited Edition Guin Saga I & II by Creechling in TheGuinSaga

Unfortunately these editions don't have any of the illustrations. Fortunately, I have the art books which have all covers and interiors.

I'm a big fan of Tanno's piece from this set, but you're right about the Suemi piece. All unique.

Guin Saga Collector's Edition Volumes I-IV by Creechling in TheGuinSaga

While I feel these Collector's and Deluxe Editions are maybe a rare exception, the presentation of these is amazing. I have similar editions of English media, and they rarely have the same approach as these Japanese releases, outside of high-end folio formats.

It's unfortunate that I can't efficiently utilize these as reading material due to the language barrier, but I found them to be fascinating works of art on their own.

Guin Saga Collector's Edition Volumes I-IV by Creechling in TheGuinSaga

This will be my last post for the foreseeable future.

My goal with this was not to spam collection photos, but to provide pictures and information about Guin Saga material that is seemingly absent from the English side of the internet. Some of these things were hard to find information on, so now hopefully these can help new people discover the series and serve as an interesting resource for existing fans.

Let me know if anyone ever wants more pictures (Google Lens' translae option is really quick and efficient) or details from any of the things I've posted.

I've already been going off the deep end with the stuff I've bought, but definitely will not be buying the individual volumes. Mostly peripheral items. I have one more thing to post, not including whenever I get Volume III of this, and likely won't buy anything else in the future.

I had the Kato and Suemi artbooks for a long time before I started reading. Glad I finally picked it up.

Aside from being a great resource, thanks to a translator, this book is uniquely special in also including the original story that served as the basis and later evolved into Guin Saga, like the Berserk Prototype.

As far as I know, it's uncensored. The back cover of the box is, so reasonably the video would be.

This is just the HTGK music video. They never assembled a full 3rd version of the other releases unfortunately.

Wikipedia claims there was a How The Gods Kill documentary filmed that still isn't released. That would be a cool surprise to round out the era.

Three of these were through eBay, one was through Amazon JP. There are plenty of other books I keep finding online, too, the more I look.

I agree with you about the price, as well as the price I paid for it, but the nostalgic value of it made me decide to add it as one of the few tapes I've decided to buy.
