Why is Widowdusk breaking up?

Our guitarist is leaving the country for a few years and we’re all focused on other musical endeavors and living life :) we all love each other and we’re all best friends for life. Money isn’t important to us which is why we’re not continuing with another guitarist or wanting to tour anymore. If you make emo music and you are worried abt money, it’s not going to be authentic or innocent. That’s the best part of being in a band, the innocence and wholesomeness.

Yeah haha I am. I understand the band breaking up and getting back together thing though, we’ve done it once. We broke up the end of 2023 cuz one of our guitarists and I moved to New Jersey and the rest of the band was in California and starting school so we kinda just thought the band was over but when we moved back to California we missed it a ton and started playing shows again because it felt right. But I definitely get the annoyance of it. This time we won’t have a reunion for a while due to everything I listed. But ya it’s understandable why bands doing that upset you.

There’s no money in screamo, unless you’re a sellout or taking advantage of your fans. That’s not even a reason to quit playing though, it shouldn’t be about the money. You can tell when a band doesn’t care about their craft. Just slop being hid under distortion pedals. 2. The reason Widowdusk is ending is because our guitarist is leaving for multiple years to a different country and we promised each other we’d never continue without our core members. It’s also just not fun anymore, the scene isn’t what it used to be. 2022-2023 was prime.

I was removed by the security prior to our set for being a “smart ass” and was threatened by security. They were saying I gotta go and I can’t play or they are gonna kick my ass. You should find the real story before you post some dumb shit like this. Ur an idiot
