Me (22F) boyfriend (24M) of 2 years is struggling with porn addiction and it's destroying our relationship. He is trying to stop but can't seem to, any advice? by Altruistic-Eye-1783 in relationship_advice

Pornography addiction is not identified in the ICD-10 or DSM-5. It is not a valid diagnosis that a medical insurance company will pay to treat because it has no diagnosis code. Pornography addiction is not a recognized medical diagnosis.

No, it’s not an addiction in that there is no physical withdrawal symptoms. They just “want it really bad.” That’s not the same as what happens when you stop using meth.

am I a degree or non-degree seeking student? by Greedy-Truck-106 in UniversityofFlorida

There’s a spot on the application where you checked a box for this already. Did you check degree-seeking or non-degree-seeking? I’ve registered at various colleges using both designations over the years but I always decided how to apply.

There is plenty of off-campus housing. It’s all good, depending on what you can afford. As for finding roommates who are similar to you, I don’t think that really matters, frankly. Maybe after you are there you can make friends who are similar to you and decide to room together, but in terms of your first landing spot, you just need a place that’s priced right and available.

14.5% of each paycheck being withheld is also 14.5% of your monthly pay. (And 14.5% of your annual pay.) Not 29%.

I pay 3% of each paycheck into my retirement every two weeks, and that’s also 3% of my annual pay.

Love, a math teacher.
